Look at what is new! New faces too! Barbie It Takes Two Playset with Jackson and Jayla Twins Dolls!
Aren't they cute! I love the names too! I think they are Stacie size or maybe Skipper size, at least I hope so. I would be disappointed if they were the size of Max and Marie.
You know I got to have them! Mattel get five stars for this one. Even with the girl having the bent arm!
So I have seen some posts on Facebook but when I went into my own Walmart the Fresh Dolls were on sale! The only fashions that I saw was this one and I purchased it.
I am not sure if they are being discontinued or what but I was surprised to see them at this price.
So back in 2007 I purchased a 80's Cher Bob Mackie doll by Mattel. It is what year now and I am just getting around to posting her. Yeah, I'm way behind. So here she is!
"If I Could Turn Back Time"
If you were around back then, you know that this song blared off the radio all day and it was one of the most popular videos! Her outfit is iconic!
Promo photos!
Today is her birthday-- Elizabeth Taylor!
I posted photos of her when she passed in my post-- Her Time In The Sun Is Over! which was a take-off on A Place in the Sun. I love the photos that I did for that post because she was in the the shadows and out of the sun.
It was a happy accident.
She was also in photos with my Divas when the new dresses I ordered off of ebay came in. She was rebodied on a Disney body with her blog name of Liz and personality in Five Lovely Ladies In New Dresses!
A short snippet on Lix Taylor from Wikipedia:
Dame Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor DBE (February 27, 1932 – March 23, 2011) was a British-American actress. She began her career as a child actress in the early 1940s and was one of the most popular stars of classical Hollywood cinema in the 1950s. She then became the highest paid movie star in the 1960s, remaining a well-known public figure for the rest of her life. In 1999, the American Film Institute named her the seventh-greatest.
Born in London to socially prominent American parents, Taylor moved with her family to Los Angeles in 1939. She made her acting debut with a minor role in the Universal Pictures film There's One Born Every Minute (1942), but the studio ended her contract after a year. She was then signed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and became a popular teen star after appearing in National Velvet (1944). She transitioned to mature roles in the 1950's when she starred in the comedy Father of the Bride (1950) and received critical acclaim for her performance in the drama A Place in the Sun (1951). There are a few releases of Elizabeth Taylor doll by Mattel with the Elizabeth Taylor face. I purchase the White Diamonds doll when she was released back in 2000 because she was on sale with a makeup purchase that became a Christmas president.
