Christmas Gift From My Brother-Law!

 Hey Gang!

My brother-in-law gave me an AA Victorian Ice Skater Barbie 2000 doll this year for Christmas. This special edition #27432 doll with music box twirls! It part of the Barbie dolls done with Avon.

She is dressed in a Victorian-inspired outfit. The coat has a white fur collar and sleeve cuffs, with three levels of gold buttons. The coat is made of maroon velvet. There isn't an actual dress but an underskirt of cream satin with caramel and eggplant stripes. Her outfit is completed with maroon skates. As with all dolls in this area, she has a brush. 😀  

The doll has the "Asha" head sculpt. The music box plays a Victorian Waltz. I thought it might be the Skater's Waltz but it isn't. I don't recognize the music. If you know it please let me know

The front of the box doesn't have the clear plastic of most Barbie but does have a picture of the 

The back of the box has her face and a description of the doll!

"Dressed in an elegant ensemble of the times.  Beautiful maroon velvet dress with a striped satiny underskirt.  She has a matching maroon velvet hat, a white fur collar & around the sleeves, gold earrings, & matching maroon skates.

Instructions come with Barbie to position her on the music box stand base, which is included. 

You turn the key & she slowly twirls around as the music box plays the melody of a waltz from the Victorian era.

This Year's Christmas Gift From My Brother-In-Law!

 Hey Gang!

Sorry it has been so long since I posted! I lost the cord for my camera and just found it after days of looking! I purchase a smart phone after years of telling myself I didn't need one. So in the future, I should be able to take photos from there too.

I wanted to show you my Christmas gift from my brother-in-law.

My Christmas gift for this year is...

Barbie 1999 - Collector Edition - 40th Anniversary Barbie African-American!
My brother-in-law gave me this doll this year.

She dons a black flock bodice shimmering with silvery glitter nostalgically
reminiscent of her original 1959 striped pattern bathing suit.

A small of the original doll is also in the box!

On the back 

It is really kinda nice getting a collector Barbie for Christmas.  Especially since the

quality of the older dolls are so much better than new dolls.

With this addition I need a place to display my doll that are MIB.

My Christmas Gift!

Hey Gang!

Last year I did get a Barbie as a Christmas present!  My brother-law, who knows I
collect Barbies and who gave me the Artic Barbie back in 12-2011, gave me another
Barbie this year!  I want to show you what I got!

1996 Bloomingdales Exclusive "Calvin Klein" Barbie doll! I am told that she is
a limited addition! Calvin Klein was really hot during the 90's!  With the Marky
Mark featured ad appearing in 1992!

She is currently still in the box!  Here is the front of the box. It is a great photo!
The box might not be in the best condition but...hey.... it is a gift!

Here is the back of the box photo.  I didn't know Mattel did this kind of front/back photo!

OK, here is the doll in the window of the box!

I don't think I had ever seen this doll in person until now! This doll is older than my
blog.  I have seen piece of her outfit  for  sale on the web and thought they were really
well made!

Here is here face and I am thinking I might have her as  a nude doll somewhere in
my collection. I beleive this is the Super Star headsculpt!  I love her hat and jacket!

 She comes with a vest that can be worn over her outfit!

 She has a KC bag too!

This is a really well made jacket and skirt! It look like There are CK undies too!

Even the gray shirt under the jacket say CK!

For now, I plan to add her to my dolls that are NRFB!  Time will tell!
