My AA Internet Articulated Doll From China!

Hey Gang!

So I too purchased one of those dolls from China!  She arrived today!
Promo Photo!
So here is my actual doll when she arrived!
Close-up of her face!
I paid about $1.90 plus shipping!  There were 4 other dolls and she looked to be the
darkest and that is why I order her.  Over all, she is not bad for what I paid for her
I thought she might make a good body donor.
The face is kinda cute and the hair isn't too bad. She looks like and upscale version of
a discount doll. Because of the way the hair is styled with a bang and two curly buns,
they saved money by not fully rooting the head.
Her outfit is what you expect from a discount doll.  The stitching  and the fabric
aren't so good but it is acceptable for the price.
Back of the top and the back of the shorts.
So here she is compared to some of my other dark dolls!  As you can see, she is
lighter.
Her head is larger than Mattel's and is closer to the size of the fresh dolls.
Here she is compared to some of my other dolls.  She is darker than Happy Family
Grandma but lighter than my rebodied Francie on a Tiana body.  What you may not
notice is that she has a grayer tone to her!
Arm comparison!

Warning Nude Dolls Ahead!

Here she is out of her clothes so that you can see the body.  The body isn't too bad
considering what I paid for it She has a pivotal chest and articulated elbows, wrists
and knees. When my husband walked by while I was taking this picture, he
said this is how he likes his women,  wearing a smile and jewelry.

I wanted to try this body on a few other clone doll heads to see if it would work
for them.  I put this AA Defa Lucy family doll Mom. It is a little lighter than the body.
I tried the body on this Defa Lucy Sisters Doll and it too is a little lighter than the
body.  I could be used for them but not a perfect match.  So I might order two
more.
I tried her on the my dollar store clone 2005 AA Barbie Fashion Fever doll and
this one was a good match! This would free up the SIS Kara body I had her on.
It defiantly a keeper for her.  Now I have to find all my other clone dolls and check.
My last try for today is on my Irma who is a Lovely Patsy doll I purchased from
Family Dollar store.  She is a pretty good match for her too but I will have to
address her head.  It has a bit of a wobble to it.
I ordered another body but it does come with a head so I don't know what
complexion it will be until it arrives.

OK, Thanks For Looking!

Alexis At Target On sale!

Finally, I found the Alexis from Target on sale! It wasn’t
the lowest price I’ve seen but Alexis doesn’t stay around
long enough to make the first( $9.79) mark down let
alone the second markdown in my area. I had to drive
a good ways out to find a Target that had her on sale.

Strange, there are two version of this doll. One is a lighter
complexion and the other is darker. Maybe it the beginning
and end of summer look. I don’t know why but I purchase
the darker one in hopes that she was closer in complexion
to the doll that I have. Most of my dolls are a medium
brown or dark brown. They are between Grace and Kara…
strange too. The store had two so I bought them both.
If I did like them, I could sell them but I didn’t want to
kick my self for not buying both later on.

I also got a shoe set with heels. I needed heels
for these Liv bodies. They were marked down to $2.98.

When I got her home, poor Alexis got "The Borg"
treatment. Her body went to….

Wild Bunch Francie.

She is one of my favorite dolls and needed a possible
body for play. I will keep my original Francie bodies.
One never knows. If you are counting, that is two
Francies with Liv bodies. One to go.

The body is slightly lighter but it will work!

Francie and Puddin' in the park!

Francie can now move around and sit like a lady now.
The Liv swimsuit
went to …

Fiona. She needed a more matures looking swimsuit
and this one fit the build. The wig? Well that is up in
the air.

Dominique grabbed the wig for the
Sports Mag Swimsuit Issue shoot.

This shot made the cover!

The head will go on the dollpage soon.

The Heels!
Fi in heals.

She is going to a wedding!

She loves that now she can wear heels. She loves heels and
couldn’t wear them before.

Wonder what Ian will think of these.
OK! That is it for my budget for now!

 Original Francie

I purchased this girl on eBay nude so I don't know which one she is or how she originally looked. Her body needs replacing because on leg joint is broken. and I want to restyle her like this one!

Here are the faces of my Francie dolls. The doll’s original
name was Francie Fairchild and she debuted in 1966 as
the “Mod Cousin of Barbie”. She is smaller than Barbie.
As a child, it bothered me that she and Barbie couldn’t
share clothes.

The original Francie looks down as you can see from the
picture. I guess she is shy. The reproductions look up more
than the original. Neither the original nor the repro has the
swivel neck and so they can’t look up fully.

I don’t have an original Black Francie. My mother tossed her out
when I was young (SIGH) and I have not be able to afford another
as an adult. I dream of her. They are shown nude here so that you
can see the body has not changed. The faces on the repros are nice
but not exactly like the original.

I believe the Wild Bunch and 30th Anniversary Gad About are the
same face. The Smashin’ Satin is different. All the original Francie
dolls used the same head mold. I didn’t add the Malibu doll
because the face is different.

OK, Thanks For Looking!
