Shiori: Hanna said that we would be doing crafts!

Jade: She also said we would go to lunch after!

Mari: You have coupons for us for helping!

Kay Sin Ae: I do!  We will be working on them for several days and I have several days worth!

Connie: Hi, you must be Kay Sin Ae. I'm Connie great to meet you. Is this your daughter?

Kay Sin Ae: No she is my little sister Hanna!

She is living with me while our mother is working abroad. Her fiends and I will be working on the decorations.

Connie: I want to thank you for working on these. Everything is coming together for the festival. 

Kay Sin Ae: Ladies, we will be working on lanterns today. We will paint them.

Here they are! As you can see they are multi color and that won't work.

Kay Sin Ae: We will start these today. We will be working on the rest of the stuff over the next few days.

Kay Sin Ae: So we are going to paint these red!  Many of the decorations we will be making will be red, gold or red and gold.

Connie stands back and observes.

Mari:It's already got hoops for hanging!

Kay Sin Ae: I think we get these done today and maybe move on to some other things!

Connie: OK, this looks like it is going well!  Let's see how things are going at the restaurant!

Gifts from a Dolly Friend!

 Hey Gang!

I recieved some really great  handmade doll clothes in the mail from a fellow blogger and Youtuber Shasarignis Barbie & Co.  I remember a while back when she sent her lovely fashions to Van's Doll Treasures Vanessa!  I thought...how wonderful that must be to receive such wonderful clothes for your doll! As with many of you, I do miss Vanessa and think about her blog and her presents in the dollyverse!

 If you want to see some of the things I was sent, here is a link to some of the handmade fashions that have been created.   I will show you some of what I got and how truly wonderful they are!

So any of you who have hand sewn a item knows that the smaller the item, the smaller the stitch need to be! So to have tiny, even,straight hand sewn stitches is challenging!  

You will note that the vest is lined with buttons! The over lock stitches are excellent and the garments are fun and flirty!

I showed them to my husband who was very impressed. His father used to be a tailor and showed him how to sew. He admired the stitch work.  We had a long talk about different types of hand stitches and how it is a lost art.

So you remember Suzie from a previous post!  Well before I continued with it, I wanted

The Part Of.....

Hey Gang!

Like the say in the soap operas, the part of Hae will now be played by.....
not the Sparkle Princess Mulan below. I'm changing charters.

Sparkle Princess Mulan

I wasn't pleased by the smug smile on that version of Mulan.  She may appear
later as another character. She will now be Amara.

Hae will now be played by this version of Mulan.

She is the 1997 Hearts of Honor Mulan.

I like her smile better. There are many versions of Mulan. I own five.

The two others by Mattel...

Sparkle Princess Mulan and Warrior Princess Mulan and two are by Disney. 
One is the Ballerina Mulan.

I put her on a Liv doll body.

Hi! My name is Jade.  You have seen her before but she didn't have a name

 The other is a Disney Store version of the doll that ran from about 2006-2010

Hi! My name is Suzie. 

Suzie is a new character.

All of these dolls have been rebodied last year. That was my big year for reboding.

I still have a few AA dolls that need new bodies but almost all of My Asian and 

Native American dolls have been rebodied.  My biggest project will be reboding 

all the guys.  I done a few here and there but the majority of my Mattel males

need an articulated body.

So here is the new Hae! She is on a Mattel BB body with articulated elbows and 

3 click knees. This is one of my favorite bodies.

After reviewing many of the Disney dolls for this post, I think I want more of Mulan's

costumes. 

Her story is coming soon!
