May is Disney Month Live Action Mulan

 

 Hey Gang!

I posted about this doll before but I haven't reviewed her on my blog.  

So here is my review for Disney month!

I like the backdrop and hope to use it.

I found this doll at a local discount store!  I couldn't see paying $15 for her with not articulation.

Here hair is the softest but it is OK. I know that there is a Disney Store version that is more

high end but that isn't this doll. So harder hair, nor articulation and lower end outfit. 

But for a basic doll, she is OK.  The top and the pants don't have finished hems.

The boots can work for other dolls with larger feet.

Warning! Nude Dolls!

This Disney store doll is reminiscent of some Mattel dolls.  

The body is similar to  Diamond Castle dolls like Melody here!

Her face is closer to Mattel Lea's face than the Mulan dolls of the past.

Count Down to the Chinese New Year!

Count Down to the Chinese New Year!

I added live action Mulan to my collection after finding her for $8.00 at Ollies.

She is by Hasbro and it the one store in stores other than Disney.

She need a articulated body so she got one of the Liv doll bodies I have around.  I have heard that the Disney store doll has an articulated body.

The great thing about the Liv doll body is that it is pretty close to the size of original body

of the live action Mulan. So here she is in the Mulan costume.

She is here for the Chinese New Year!

She will be showing Asian swords and weapons!

Her name is Ara.

Suzie's Family!

Hey Gang!

So you remember Suzie from a previous post!  Well before I continued with it, I wanted
to let you meet her family!

Here is Suzie's Family!

Suzie: I couldn't ask for a better niece!

The Part Of.....

Hey Gang!

Like the say in the soap operas, the part of Hae will now be played by.....
not the Sparkle Princess Mulan below. I'm changing charters.

Sparkle Princess Mulan

I wasn't pleased by the smug smile on that version of Mulan.  She may appear
later as another character. She will now be Amara.

Hae will now be played by this version of Mulan.

She is the 1997 Hearts of Honor Mulan.

I like her smile better. There are many versions of Mulan. I own five.

The two others by Mattel...

Sparkle Princess Mulan and Warrior Princess Mulan and two are by Disney. 
One is the Ballerina Mulan.

I put her on a Liv doll body.

Hi! My name is Jade.  You have seen her before but she didn't have a name

 The other is a Disney Store version of the doll that ran from about 2006-2010

Hi! My name is Suzie. 

Suzie is a new character.

All of these dolls have been rebodied last year. That was my big year for reboding.

I still have a few AA dolls that need new bodies but almost all of My Asian and 

Native American dolls have been rebodied.  My biggest project will be reboding 

all the guys.  I done a few here and there but the majority of my Mattel males

need an articulated body.

So here is the new Hae! She is on a Mattel BB body with articulated elbows and 

3 click knees. This is one of my favorite bodies.

After reviewing many of the Disney dolls for this post, I think I want more of Mulan's

costumes.
