Frugal Finds! Update!!

 Hey Gang!

I found these outfits at the Dollar Tree! I don't know if there are others; these were the only four, and I purchased three.  I thought these outfits might be too small for Barbie, especially the fireman's outfit, but they aren't. The packaging is smaller, with the pant leg folded over.

I purchased these three.

Let's take a look at them!

This one is a doctors/nurse outfit. Most doctors/nurses don't work in satin! 

I thought it would make great P.J.'s. Here is Trisha, who just woke up and is in search of coffee!

This one is a chef's outfit. I purchased it because the top looked big enough for a guy. 

Here is Manny mannequin with the top on and a pair of Ken pants on. The pants are too small for Ken. I will need to open the sleeves up to the top. It is a little tight in the arm but can be worked with. Update: the pants I purchased are a little roomier than past Dollar Tree fashions. They can fit on the bellybutton bottom body.

Lastly, there is this white top and overalls. The overalls have printed detailing.

Our model today is Naira. The issue with this outfit is that it is made for a doll whose head pops off. You can't get the crossed straps over the head or the neck. I will have to remove the straps in the back and add snaps.

Here are the accessories that came with the outfits. The shoes can be used for most Barbies. They are tan and black.

The stethoscope, shovel, spatula, and pan can fit in with other doll accessories you already own.

 Hey Gang,

I wanted to show you what I got at Target that I plan to use for my dolls!

Jackets and 

You can open it with a blow dryer. It has a great hanger too. The skis can be used as decoration!

I need to get some of the glue residue off the jacket.  I used a pencil to help open the sleeves.

I would put plastic over the hands so that they don't snag the jacket when putting it on.

Animal stuffed pillows ornaments! I purchased pillows a few years back but I didn't get all the ones that I wanted and they were sold out when I can back.  I got these this year.

These Christmas ornament ball may not be 1/6 but I think I can use them!

Animals! I can never have enough deer.

My purchase from Walmart is a Santa Jacket.

One More Holiday Sweater And A Few Holiday Vests!

Hey Gang!

I thought I had gotten what holiday sweaters Target had but I found out that there
was one more!

 This white and sequin  sweater with red star!

It looks similar in style to this striped one I got a while back!  I  kept one of the
striped sweaters with the star and used a seam ripper to remove the star on another. 
I decided to remove the star on this one.

 Trisha is our model for this sweater!  She is wear it with white pants with silver studs!

 Trisha: This is a great outfit for holiday gatherings!

I also spotted these vests from AC Moore in center city Phila. The good stuff in any 

store in CC Phila are the first things to go! So I don't know if there were more vests.  

These were all I spotted.

 I gave them a hit with the blow dryer to open them up!

I don't really like the pockets and their position on the vests  I might remove the and
fix them more to my liking!

 I don't like the wooden buttons either. They are not toscale and distract from the vests.

 Here they are in comparison to the ones I got last year.  

The ones from last year didn't have pockets.

The ones from last year are really great!  They are excellent for my male dolls  and the
sequin buttons are better than the wooden buttons.  There is still remnants of hot glue
on the vest.  If anyone know how to remove it all, let me know!

 The lining of the new vests are felt while the lining of the older vest is cotton.

 Luther in the vest! As you can see it works well on broad dolls and IT males.

New bodies at the New Year and Silver Fox!

Hey Gang!

I picked up some sales before the new year!   I purchase two new dolls to use as
body and clothes donors! While everyone one else was purchasing the Barbie 
Style Nikki and the Barbie Style Grace Dolls with the feet for heals or flats, I 
kinda hung back. I wasn't a fan of the 19.99 price.  Also, I didn't like all of the 
clothes the dolls came with. When I found them reduced as part of the after holidays 
sales, I got them at. 13.00 (7.00 each) for two  That is the highest I am willing 
to pay for a Fashionista body. I bought two sets at that price!

I loved the gray sweater and blue and white polka dot top of the Grace.  I didn't like
the skirt at all.  I wouldn't have put that purse and shoes with the outfit but 
they aren't bad at all!

 With Nikki, I loved everything except the purse.

I didn't need or what their heads so they are being sold! I tell you later who 
got the bodies! Here is who received the clothes!

Our Silver Fox for this month!

She like the combo of the gray pants with the sweater shirt much better!

The purple skirt was sold!

 She says gray is the new blonde.....that  gray haired women 

have more fun!

 She had beautiful brown hair as a young mother and college grad in her twenties!

At about 27 she notice her first gray hair!  Her hair was so thick you couldn't
tell at first!

Now at 47 she is totally gray and she has embraced her gray and not tried to
die it!

Gray can be sassy!

 Gray can mean business!

 Gray can be feminine!

 She keeps healthy and exercises daily...

 because gray doesn't have to mean old!

She drinks plenty of water!

and goes to the bathroom a lot too!

Trisha: Water in and water out!

 She eats a balanced diet!

Trisha: Plenty of veggies and meat three times a week!

Her skin is fantastic and she feels great!
