Mass Blogger Interview!

Hi All!

I have an interview with a local couple who collect dolls coming up. In the
process of gathering questions for them, I thought it would be neat to ask
these questions of you by doing a mass blogger interview! So feel free to
answer these questions and share with your fellow bloggers
your collecting experiences.  You can skip question that you don't want to answer.
I know that asking how many dolls you have can be like asking a gambler how
much they owe.

When did you start collecting dolls?

What was your first purchase as a collector?

How many dolls do you own?

What is your favorite doll and why?

What doll or dolls are not your favorites and why?

What is the biggest challenge about collecting dolls?

How do you display or store your dolls?

Have you ever been to a doll show?

When you travel, do you look for dolls?

What is your latest purchase?

What doll is on your wish list now?

What do you wish you didn’t purchase?

What is your favorite doll related item?

How often do you photo your dolls and what doll is the most photographed
and/or photogenic?

Do you talk to other collectors in person or just on the web?

If you had the chance to speak to Mattel or other toy makers, what
would you say?

What doll do you wish would be reissued?

What two dolls would you combine and how would you want them
combined? (Muff style question)

If there is something I didn't ask that you would like to say, you can put
that in too.

Thanks For Looking and Commenting!

Here are my responses:

When did you start collecting dolls? I played with dolls as a child but didn’t start collecting until I was an adult with my own grown child.

What was your first purchase as a collector?
I don’t remember the exact doll but it was probably a holiday Barbie.

How many dolls do you own?
I have no idea.

What is the biggest challenge about collecting dolls?
Buying only what I love and not spending on little instant gratification items.

How do you display or store your dolls?
My dolls are displayed in glass cases.

Have you ever been to a doll show?
Many times.

What is your latest purchase?
Ficon’s newest BJD. She’s not even here yet.

What doll is on your wish list now?
The only dolls on my wish list are Peep and Gothica Sybarite.

What do you wish you didn’t purchase?
Too many to list but I sell them.

What is your favorite doll related item?
I love the Tonner and Gene Marshall wood furniture items.

How often do you photo your dolls and what doll is the most photographed
and/or photogenic?
I photograph my dolls all the time. They’re all photogenic.

Do you talk to other collectors in person or just on the web?
Both.

What doll do you wish would be reissued?
Sybarite Summer on the updated body.

Thanks Thanks Fashion Doll Foto, Terri Gold and Ursula!

Fashion Doll Foto and Ursula, welcome to my blog! I will comment on your blogs.

Terri, haven't heard from you in a while and it good to see your comments. I have seen the Tonner and Gene Marshall wood furniture. It is very very lovely! I wish Mattel made more stuff that even looked like that and would be sold in stores. I do know the dolls that your mentioned. I'm going to look them up. BTW, I need to reread some of you post on photos now that I have made my goal to take better pictures.

Thanks Terri!
XOXO
