The Magic Of Merlin!

 Hey Gang!

I first saw the Merlin and Morgan Le Fay doll set in Barbie Bazaar. I don't think I ever saw them in Toys R Us.

Photos are from Barbie Bazaar.
Barbie Bazaar did an interesting photo shoot with the dolls, too!

Morgan's face looked exotic.
And there was something about the gray hair of Merlin.

While browsing eBay, I spotted him at a great price, so I had to put in a bid and won! He came out of the box without shoes. No biggie! Here he is.
Close up!
Under the beard, he has the 40th Anniversary Ken doll headsculpt.
The rest of his outfit is complete with great details. I love the embellishment on the cuff and shawl.
The back.
Note the embroidery on the shawl.
Once the hat is removed, you can get a good look has this hair. It is soft, Baby fine, and a little fly-away.
It is full.
Out of his robe, he has the 1977 articulated body. You can't see it for the beard.
So I moved it aside.
To make him usable as a character, some of the beard will have to go. The fly-away hair will have to be addressed. I will post him after his makeover.

Gear Stift Hoodies!

 Hey Gang!

The other day, I went to Auto Zone to get some antifreeze and saw these there!

Gear Shift Hoodies!

Why would your gear shift need a hoodie? I don't know! I thought they would look good on dolls. The scale of the drawsting is off, but I can replace it.
I posted them on Facebook and was informed they sell them on Amazon! I went to Amazon and ordered this!

Then I learned that they can be purchased on AliExpress! I haven't ordered the ones from there yet. You know the tariff thing! I am still waiting to see what happens with that.

My crew in their hoodies!

May is Disney Month! I have Bert!

 Hey Gang!

I broke down and purchased Bert!

Promo Photo!

I purchased him mint in the box! The box was wrapped in plastic.
Back of box.
He is shown posed on a carousel horse, waving. His outfit consists of a white shirt with a blue bow tie, white pants that snap in the back, and a white jacket with red, gold, and orange stripes.
The jacket has great detail! It is lined and snaps closed.
It has a pocket on the front.
The jacket has a slit in the back.
He wears a straw hat with a band that picks up the colors in his outfit.
He has a cane! WOO HOO! None of my other dolls has a cane! I have plans for that cane.
Blue socks to match the bow tie with white shoes.
Oh, and white gloves.

Dick Van Dyke is one of my favorite actors! I loved hin in the Dick Van Dyke show. At 99, he is still working. He stared in a Colplay video on his 99th birthday.

May is Disney Month! The Evil Queen!

 Hey Gang!

I found a 1998 Disney Evil Queen doll on Facebook Marketplace! It is a good place to find doll-related items locally. You don't have to pay shipping. You can just pick it up from the seller. The doll was out of the box, and the box wasn't in great shape.

Here are some photos I found of the doll in the box.
Box flaps open!
Back of the box.
She has a lovely face, and her face paint is dramatic. Unlike some of the other Evil
Queen dolls, this doll has rooted hair.
It is a little past her shoulder and a widow's peak!
This particular doll was a must-have for me since I read about her in the
October 2000 issue of Barbie Bazaar!  As you can tell from the tape, this magazine is well-loved!
Here is the story that they did on the Evil Queen doll! They said that she was a great candidate for customization.
The doll looks like the animated character from the movie.
The article says that she was modeled after Joan Crawford. As you can see, it would be easy to make her look like Joan, as in the bottom right corner.
Her cheekbones aren't the result of makeup contouring. Her face has hollowed-out cheekbones.,pouty lips and highly arched eyebrows. She has green eyes with blue and purple eyeshadow.

Out of the box

Warning! Nude doll!

The Queen has the 1966 bodies but with different arms.
Raquelle Fashionista will be her body donor.  This is one of those matches that don't look good side-by-side, but it works well when it is done!
Here she is done!
She is the hostess of Mortata of the Night! A Friday night horror movie TV series! It debuted on Halloween.
Hello, it is me...Mortata! Hey everyone, and Happy Halloween!
