May Is Disney Month! New Teen Disney Purchases!

I want you to know that I made May Disney month! So don't look for it on any list of monthly celebrations!  Unless it catches on!

New Teen Disney Purchases.

I purchased this doll, and I didn't know who it was. I was told he was Kevin's size,
I found out he is the Disney Store High School Musical(  HSM)#3 Troy doll!

Sometimes the clothes are a clue to the doll. I purchased my doll nude, so it didn't come with all these excellent accessories...Boo!

I was glad to get him and add him to my crew!

Warning Nude Dolls

My nude doll and his stains on his body! 

The placement of the stains leads me to believe the shirt isn't a separate piece but part of the jacket. 

It may be just a collar with a tie in the front of a shirt and cuffs attached to a jacket sleeve. It is the only way I can explain the dark marks under the arm.

In the past, when I had a doll with stains from clothes, I would purchase the
Acme cream from the Dollar Tree and use it to bleach the stains out of the body. Dollar Tree hasn't carried the cream lately. So I will be searching for another cheap source.

Comparing him to Mattel HSM

He is a little shorter than the Mattel doll, and he has a stiff bend, a click knee. He is much lighter than the Mattel doll. He has painted on undies.  The body looks like it was made by Jakks. Which doll do you think looks more like Zac Efron?

The chest is different!

The feet are larger.  You can kinda make Ken shoes fit on HSM dolls loosely.

 But the Disney store doll's feet are larger and fit better in Ken's shoes.

Compared To BSI Kevin

He is a little smaller, but he doesn't have that crazy-bent-arm look.  He is a little thicker than Kevin. 

So,.... pants no, and tops yes!

Shoes are a no!

I finally put him on a Ron Weasley doll body. He is now Jimmy.

Disney Frozen 2 doll Ryder.

Most of the new male dolls in Frozen 2 (except for Lt. Mattias) come as part of a set. Boo! I would love to purchase the father (I love his face), but I am not willing to spend the money for the set just to get him.

I love his face too, and I would love to have the complete outfit, but that is not what I was able to purchase cheaply. I can't spend all my stimulus money on dolls, you know!

Equally, I am not willing to spend the money for this set just to get Ryder.  So I purchased him solo and as a nude doll. You can see he has molded on pants.

He was rebodied onto a Justin Bieber body!  

There are always a ton of them lying around here! Some have a flat neck, which is suitable for action figures, and some have a rounded neck, which is ideal for dolls like this one!

He is happy with his new look and a little more movement!  The Troy body went to this guy!

A Little Scoop on Justin Bieber!

Hey Gang!

As I was “Comparin’ Aaron”, I thought I should show you my Biebers too! I saw one comparison on Flickr. It was not complete, but I think it is worth looking at. I only have two Biebers. There are about 6 (maybe more) head sculpts out there. Three have molded hair/no smile; two with molded hair (regular and short cut) have an open-mouth smile; two with “real hair”; and one of them has an open-mouth smile. The real hair doll is a better reflection of the short haircut Bieber got. BTW, that cut cost the toy company about 100,000.00! So the toy manufacturer isn’t smiling, even though the doll is now! Anyway, none of mine has the smile! I have #2 and #3.

I was told by Muff (Hey, it is Muff) that there are different bodies, too. Right now, I have two of the bodies. One(#2) I purchase from Muff

and one (#3) with real hair, Leo-Sydney's brother, I purchased from TRU.

The headsculpt has changed a great deal! I'm calling the old headsculpt Hunter.  He looks like a Hunter to me!

So here is what their torso looks like out of the shirts! The one with the hair is the newer body, and it is a little more streamlined at the waist.

Here is a shot of the different necks on the dolls.

The one with the hair has a pivotal neck. The other has a side-to-side turntable head. Unfortunately, the one with the pivotal neck can only look down a little bit, but not up really at all. So to me, that is not a change for the better!

Ryan from my Sydney Tryout post is also on this same older Bieber body.

He is a Hannah Montana Travis doll from the Hannah and Travis gift set.

As I said in the Aaron post, Bieber items are selling well. Some of it is Justin's popularity as a person, and the other is the entire doll world fed up with Mattel's fashions! Muff posted back in 2011 about Justin Bieber’s Carnage. Boxes and bodies tossed for clothing! The Bieber’s fashions are more real! I hope to scoop up some of his outfits for the males around here. Only TRU in my area seems to have the outfit sets! They are the cheapest for the dolls, too!

His new outfits for next year are said to be great too, if the 2012 Toy Show is any gauge! I guess I’ll try to have some money ready for them!  I think I'll just have to sew something for now.
