My Second Purchase From China!

Hey Gang!

Here is my other purchase from China!  It is just an AA body without a head.
I purchased both of my items from China on Wish.  They sell a lot of things.
They also have special hourly sales.  I got the body for free! I just had to pay
shipping which is about $3.

Here is the Body!

The body does have the pivotal neck of a Barbie doll! It is more like ones of
cheaper dolls like Defa Lucy. So there will be no looking up or down for
whatever head you put on the body.

The good thing about the neck is that you don't have the difficulties of removing

and putting new heads on that you find in other bodies. No hooks!

The skin tone on this doll is lighter than the previous doll I purchased from china.

These bodies are similar to the barbie pivotal body.  So let's take a look!
Here is my Mattel pivotal body I have put on my Renee.
Here she is in comparison to my recent purchase.

 A close but still a tad

gray match.

The body is about the same size.  The quality of the body isn't nearly as
good as a Mattel doll but it isn't too bad either!

 As the complexion goes, this body is a closer Mattel match.  A close but still a tad
gray match to Artsy doll.

So let try some different heads on this body!

Another New Grail!

Hey Gang!

I'm crossing them off!  I don't think I put this doll on the list that I posted before
but she was definitely on the list! I've seen Momoko dolls around.  I have always
thought that they possessed a certain charm, but I had been one of those people
who would like to see the doll in person before I purchased it.  As my taste and
collection have grown, now I think I just need to search pictures to really know
if this is a doll I want.

The are a ton of Momoko pictures out there!  She is a very photogenic doll.
I warn you, a search of her pictures could get you in trouble.  She is just too
cute.  There are several haircolors and complexions out there too.  No matter
which one you look at, she retains that shy but mischievous pixie quality.


Here is the one that I chose....Wake-Up Momoko -- the "Tanned" version.

So here is my girl! I just love the scale of the print on this dress.

I notice that she didn't have shoes.  I have always loved the shoes on Momoko dolls
and thought it might have been a mistake by the seller. I was told that the Wake-Up
Momoko are in PJ's.  So I guess this lovely dress is a PJ!

She is soo pretty!

Under the dress she has matching Panties.

 She is shorter than the standard Barbie doll.

Momoko: I 'm not trying to be mean or anything but is you head kinda large?
Skipper: People always say that but I don't know what they mean.

 Both can bend their knees but Momoko can do it better.

 Momoko has better articulation when it comes to the movement of her arms too!

She is better able to cover her eyes.

She can also turn just below the breasts.

I am calling my Momoko Martina but everyone calls her Marti.  She is the baby sister
of Tia and Sonya.

Marti wears and looks good in all types of fashions!

Going To The Wedding.

The Johnsons & The Holmes' Are Going To The Wedding!

Etienne and Matt know Rod from military trainings they went to. 

They are coming to the wedding of Rod and Danielle and are bringing
their wives with them. Now that Matt is married, he thinks that everyone
should be married.  They couldn't make the bachelor party but they won't
miss the wedding!

The wives look forward to the ceremony like most women do.

Tia: This will be our first time out as a couple!

Tia: I can't wait to see her dress!

Renee: Your wedding dress was soo lovely! Your mantilla was
the crowning touch!

Tia: Thank you!  It has been in my family for generations. 
I hoping my sister will wear it too!
I can never thank you for all your help with my wedding!
I don’t know what would have happened if I didn’t have you to help
me with everything.

Renee’: We military wives have to stick together! 

Matt feels pride as he introduces his bride!  Matt: This is my wife Tia. 

Renee’: Look at them! Young love. How sweet. Etienne, do you

remember when we were like that!

Etienne: We can be like that tonight!

Renee': Military men can be a handful when off and out!   That is why
the job of MPs is soo hard!  Tonight, we'll have to be the MPs!

Like I said, the women like the ceremony and the husbands look
forward to the reception!

My Faces Of Lea!--Edited Post OOPS! I forgot one!

She and her husband Hiroshi Takada own the local Asian
restaurant The Pacific Rim. Their daughter Mari attends the

I think that Lea is one of the most beautiful Asian
doll faces that Mattel has done. There have been other
doll's whose faces were made Asian but Lea and Kira
the two Asian face molds.


I have a few dolls with the Lea face mold in my collection.
Bling was not the first. My first was this doll!


I call her Thuy (twee) and she is Jin's "Bling" older sister.


She is more traditional than Bling and more serious than her
sister. She has a more demure look to her than Bling.


As the big sister, see must look out for Bling which is not an
easy job.


You met their cousin Ing. She is half Vietnamese and French.



She and her cousins are close.


She finds the differences between Thuy and Bling amusing.
Ing is not as traditional as Thuy but not as Americanized
as Bling.


You met Tia Holmes.

She is newly married to Matt Holmes who is a Captain
in the Air Force stationed here in Johnston.


She is a Flight Attendant and travels from Europe to the US
regularly. That is how she met Matt while on a layover in
an airport.

This is Tia's sister Sonya. She move here from the
Philippines to be with her sister. She worked in an
insurance company there and hopes to work for one
here.
