On The Craft Table! Bodies From China!

 Hey Gang!

I purchased a few clone dolls and bodies from China. The bodies are similar to the older Barbie doll Fashionista body. I ordered one a few years ago but now they have more body styles and complexion.

They are normally listed as 1/6-30cm moveable fashion doll bodies.

So here is what I got!

I ordered these bodies hoping I could use them for some of my off-brand and clone dolls. Many of these dolls have poorly made bodies that have broken over time. Even if these bodies don't last, I can get enough out of them cheaply to continue replacing them. 

DBG of Black Doll Enthusiast says the difference between a clone and a competitor (off-brand) doll is that a clone is a copy and a competitor has its own face. Thanks, DBG for the info!

I numbered them and can give you an idea of what doll heads might work for them.

Warning! Nude dolls!

#1 is a very dark brown body. The complexion is similar to SIS Chandra. This body can be used for many darker dolls. 

#2 is a dark brown body that reminds me of Kara. This body works for many of my clone and off-brand dolls!

#3 is a medium-brown body that can be used for SIS Grace and older IT Janay

#4 light brown and can be used for SIS Trichelle, Artsy Barbie or Disney Jasmine dolls. 

#5 is very light but not White. She is more like Marisa.

Marisa Head Sculpt And Trichelle

Hi All!

The last time I showed my Marisa doll, I had her on a Fashion Fever Wave
2 body(short torso). Since then, I have moved her to her new permanent body.

Here she is on her new body!  Wolf whistles in the background.  (That Liv

swim suit get much use around here.)  She even has a name now and a story! 

She is Jillian Johnson.  She is Etienne's baby sister.  Etienne has a sister older

that Jillian, Babette. Jillian will be coming to live with Etienne and

Renee' shortly!  It seems that everyone go to the beach before coming to

Johnston.

Her body is from Fashionista summer.  Here Jillian holds her head!  Yes,

that right Summer's head is in the head box waiting to be sold! Like I said

in my last post, I have a lot of this head scuplt.

I have her here pictured with Trichelle!  I put Trichelle's head onto a

HSM body.  Notice that they are not the same complexion.  Marisa head is

more tan than the olive of Trichelle.  The make-up is lighter too! If you know

me you know I am not a fan of the sideward glancing eyes.  I love the fact that

they didn't do that with Marisa.  I do think that Trichelle has a better hair color

and texture....luxurious!

Here is another Tichelle head.  This Trichelle has plum chunck in her hair.  I like

the hair color of the first one better but I like the lip color better on the second one. 

I don't know if you can tell but the second head has a lighter color lip.

SIS Marisa

I just wanted to show you a little of what I have been up to.
Yes, I have been swapping bodies! Well, that is between
preparing to do another post on Steven. So you Steven fans,
stay tuned! I purchased a SIS Marisa last week. For some
reason she wasn't sell in my local WalMart. I didn't need
another doll with this face mold but I did needed a
doll fix so I got her. Those of you who said that her skin tone
was hard to match were right but I did have a Fashion Fever
Teresa body (you know the ones with the short torso) that
matched well.

So here she is on that body. I am going to make her a character
but I'm not sure who. Maybe Etienne's little sister or
Bea's little sister. She is wearing the AA Star Doll dress. I didn't
like it on that doll but it looks cute on her.
I think it is the complexion.

Thank goodness no sidewards glancing eyes!
That is better for me. I'm not A fan of the side glancing
eyes. I have Trichelle heads I need to sell!

What happen to Marisa body? Well as new dolls go, she did
have a bad body. The legs bended and it was not one of those
hollow leg dolls. I found another doll who because of her body
wasn't getting much play time!

She was about the same complexion as Marisa. She had
clothing and shoe limitations because of her body. I do
prefer Mattel bodies and it makes dressing dolls easier!
The belly button body will work for now!

Here she is on her new body. Gone are those sloth feet.


I'll have to find her a new outfit. Bea already has dibs on the
jumpsuit.

She is happy with her new body too!
