This is the Barbie Care Clinic. It features the first Barbie ambulance that transforms into a hospital with a waiting room, a check-in counter, and a gift shop. I believe it was first released in 2018.
Barbie Transforming Ambulance and Clinic Playset (Target Exclusive 2023) It says it is a Target Exluvive but in this video, you can see it was purchased on Amazon. It opens differently from the Walmart set and doesn't have a gift shop. The Walmart set isn't an ambulance too but this one is.
I was told about this video of a makeover of Fresh Dolls Malik to the live-action Scar character! The video was done by HeXtian, who is on YouTube and Instagram! I hope you enjoy it.
I took this tour years ago but I'm glad they have the YouTube experience so you can see it. You can also take this tour in person. They are located at 4355 County Line Rd, Chalfont, PA In Bucks County. It is something great to do during the holidays for you and your family. They have great gardens to tour in the summer. Sometimes they host special programs too!
The first time I saw the Boy Scout action figure was on Roxanne's Dolls! She had a great post about the BFF Ink doll Calista doll and Boy Scout Bob. The running posts were in a dear dairy style about a young girl. Calista's love interest was Bob the Boy Scout. I looked him up and he was made by Kenner!
Nerd Rage did a great video on the action figure and I posted it below.
"A brief history of Kenner's Boy Scouts of America Line
A.K.A. Steve Scout. which came out in 1974, and ended in 1975."
One of the points made in the video is that Bob and the other scouts' heads might fall off with play. So if you have them, be careful or have glue! Also, since these action figures are 40 years old, the uniforms aren't always in the best of shape. Many are pretty faded. The shirts on my uniforms have holes. They are made from cotton. The pants are made of twill and have seemed to hold up better.
Boy Scouts Steve and Bob are 9 3/4 inches tall. Cub Scouts are Craig and Dave are 8 1/2 inches tall.
In their uniforms, Craig in the blue and Steve in the khaki green.
Craig is the blonde and Steve is the redhead.
In their uniforms AA scouts, Bob in the khaki green and Dave in the blue.
Bob is the tall one and Dave is the shorter one.
The Boy Scouts do a three-finger salute and the Cub Scouts do a two-finger salute.
Warning! Nude bodies!
The Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts are definitely action-figure bodies! They have broad shoulders and narrow waists. They are more muscular than other kid dolls of the same size.
They are more than Stacie-size dolls.
Thighs, calves, and arms are beefier.
Steve and Bob can wear some Stacie-size boy clothes and CreateableWorld world doll clothes depending on the cut.
The Cub Scout body is a better fit in Stacie-size clothes.
Bob and Dave with their mom and dad.
Mom is Christy and dad is Joe. Meet the Jacksons.
Roxanne does a video at the end of Calista's diary post of Bob and Calista dancing. It is super cute! I had to share it with you guys.
I was in Target and purchased the new Greg Naturalista doll and decided to get one more doll, Liya! She has 4C hair like me.
I already have the Grace Doll, which I posted a while back.
Now, as a woman who has gone back to wearing my hair naturally, I thought this was a big deal. I couldn't wait to get a perm and have worn my hair permed since I was 14! Learning about the health issues that are associated with perms, I finally let the perm go just before COVID-19 hit. It was a great time to do it. I cut off the permed hair(called the big chop!). I was working from home and didn't have to worry about how my hair looked.
What I did need to do was to decide what to do with my hair without the perm! I braided it once it was long enough to braid (yeah, I was close to bald). I stopped using shampoos with sulfates and switched to using a cotton tee to dry my hair. I found products for natural hair, talked to friends and family who have natural hair, and watched a lot of natural hair videos.
My hair now!
My hair is longer in this picture than in the one above! There is way more shrinkage when I wash it now! Oh, and for anyone who thinks wearing your hair natural is a lot less work, it isn't. It is the same amount of work, if not more.
Now for the dolls!
Promo Photo of the line of dolls!
The real test of any doll is seeing it in person! It is a great thing to have dolls that are representative of our culture, and I think these dolls do it!
Promo Liya
My Photo
I thought the head of the girls seemed small to the size of the body, and the neck seemed too long for the girls. Greg Doll is OK in his proportions. Liya's hands and feet are large like the Grace doll from my previous post. I will change the head onto an MTM body to give me more options.
She is darker in person and has a darker lip color than in the promo. Or..it might just be
my lighting. Her body!
OK, For Real For Real!
I found that when styling, she had a lot of hair shedding. This is something I try to avoid with my own 4C hair. (Not all of her hair seems to be rooted to me. It gives the 4C feel, but I noticed it when separated, there are pieces in there that aren't rooted.) I know my hair will grow back despite the shedding, but Liya's hair will not. I sleep with a cap on so that I don't get lint in my hair from the pillowcase. This doll's hair will get lint in it if not protected as a doll that is played with. Wetting it and styling it didn't work for the doll like it does for my hair! Shampooing my hair with 4C products defines the curl, but not with the doll. I wondered if soaking it in fabric softener might do it for her hair. You can't do a ton of styling, or you will comb much of the doll's hair out in the process. MyFroggyStuff did some styling of Liya's hair. I don't know if she purchased multiples for her video or if they were all the same doll.
I finally decided to give her a twist-out hairstyle! It came out well! I redodyed her onto a Fashionista doll #194 body.
Liya on wash day!
Doing my hair takes some time! I plan a day for it! It is a wash day/spa day!
Twist out!
You need water and a comb for detangling! My ducky for my bath!
A girl needs products!
With a friend!
Liya will let her hair air-dry. Maybe she should paint her fingernails and toes!
I knew I wanted a Black Santa! I found this guy at the Dollar Tree! I saw one like him last year at CVS and I waited for it to go on sale. It sold out! WaWa! Now I have a Black Santa.
He has a great face!
I am hoping to make some kind of holiday display using him! So stay tuned!
I saw this Oreo cookie commercial with a Black Santa! It is one of the few times I have seen on outside of the local mall.
I have been doing many things with my dolls that at the beginning of my doll collecting I would not have thought possible. I have switch heads, restyle hair, painted hair, painted eyes, switch a few limbs, made clothes and furniture. (all of which I need to do more of)
This is my next step! I have purchased a rooting tool and will now attempt to do that too! I purchase to the tool from RestoreDoll.com. They have rooting tools, hair (saran, nylon and nylatex) for rooting flocking and quality paint for repainting, touchups and restoring. There are even kits that contain everything you need to start a project.
I ordered the starter kit and a few extra needles the size used for Barbies because we all know that needles brake. I aslo ordered flocking.
The flocking comes in this containers and they are filled to the top. It spilled out when I opened one.
I was able to get in back into the container but realized that each color needed its' own baggie.
Here is what is in the starter kit. The tool and needles!
Open and spread out.
This pack has four needles. You can see all the needles on the #7 but some of the #8 were cut off.
These are the size used for Barbie.
All the others are used for dolls other than Barbie.
This is the video from the RestoreDoll.com site on how to reroot.
I have some hair for braiding I can practice with and a few dolls that are hoping to get new hair.
In 2018 Disney released the movie The Nutcracker and The Four Realms!
I have purchased several of the 2018 The Nutcracker and The Four Realms Clara's Soldier
Uniform Dolls. Most were from a discount store but a few I found on eBay. There are two dolls from the line.

This a review of the doll done by BeautifulToyReviews
Body-wise, the body is the size of Babysitter Inc(BSI) Skipper doll but the complexion is
lighter and the doll's head is the size of Stacie doll. The body is shorter than Petite Barbie
and has less articulation.
photo here
I purchased the first one as a body replacement for my Hanna-Babysitter Inc. Asian doll.
I notice that the body would also work for the BSI Courtney doll. The body is too light for the other BSI dolls but
It is a great match for Harry Potter's Luna doll and it should work for Cho! So she will get a replacement. It could work for some of the other Harry Potter girls. It is a little light but works.
It also works light petite dolls like Petite Fashionista #124.
