My AA Internet Articulated Doll From China!

Hey Gang!

So I too purchased one of those dolls from China!  She arrived today!
Promo Photo!
So here is my actual doll when she arrived!
Close-up of her face!
I paid about $1.90 plus shipping!  There were 4 other dolls and she looked to be the
darkest and that is why I order her.  Over all, she is not bad for what I paid for her
I thought she might make a good body donor.
The face is kinda cute and the hair isn't too bad. She looks like and upscale version of
a discount doll. Because of the way the hair is styled with a bang and two curly buns,
they saved money by not fully rooting the head.
Her outfit is what you expect from a discount doll.  The stitching  and the fabric
aren't so good but it is acceptable for the price.
Back of the top and the back of the shorts.
So here she is compared to some of my other dark dolls!  As you can see, she is
lighter.
Her head is larger than Mattel's and is closer to the size of the fresh dolls.
Here she is compared to some of my other dolls.  She is darker than Happy Family
Grandma but lighter than my rebodied Francie on a Tiana body.  What you may not
notice is that she has a grayer tone to her!
Arm comparison!

Warning Nude Dolls Ahead!

Here she is out of her clothes so that you can see the body.  The body isn't too bad
considering what I paid for it She has a pivotal chest and articulated elbows, wrists
and knees. When my husband walked by while I was taking this picture, he
said this is how he likes his women,  wearing a smile and jewelry.

I wanted to try this body on a few other clone doll heads to see if it would work
for them.  I put this AA Defa Lucy family doll Mom. It is a little lighter than the body.
I tried the body on this Defa Lucy Sisters Doll and it too is a little lighter than the
body.  I could be used for them but not a perfect match.  So I might order two
more.
I tried her on the my dollar store clone 2005 AA Barbie Fashion Fever doll and
this one was a good match! This would free up the SIS Kara body I had her on.
It defiantly a keeper for her.  Now I have to find all my other clone dolls and check.
My last try for today is on my Irma who is a Lovely Patsy doll I purchased from
Family Dollar store.  She is a pretty good match for her too but I will have to
address her head.  It has a bit of a wobble to it.
I ordered another body but it does come with a head so I don't know what
complexion it will be until it arrives.

New Purchases and Help Me Decide!

Hey Gang!

So here are two more purchases I made.  The first is this suit!  There are a lot
of nice clothing items coming from overseas on EBay.  We were discussing
that at our doll club meeting.  I purchased this tux.  It was handmade!
Like many other Ken tux outfits the jacket is removable.  The shirt has great detail too!
Not only is the jacket removable but the shirt is it's own piece too  This means
I can put it with other pants and jackets!  A nice plus!
The were a few strings in the back but it is a nice outfit.
I showed it to you on a doll similar to the ad for the suit but it is large enough
for FR dolls too!
Remi is modeling the tux here.  It is not his style or color so he is catching a tudie!
I also purchased a when I Read I Dream Fern doll from Charlotte's Web!
Charlotte's Web was one of my favorite stories when I was a child.
Salutations!   That was my favorite word for a long time back then.

If you read this post anywhere
It is a fake!!! Run!!
 Close up!
Out of the box, the details are great!  I love her cloths...

and her freckles!

The jumper is really well made!
with cute socks and sneakers!

Many of you said that my Millie was a Dancing Princess doll.  That reminded me
that I had an Island Princess doll somewhere!  So I dug her out.
Here they are side by side.
Now I have to decide which one will be Millie.  Mill will have a key role.
She will be the daughter of Camille and the sister of Terrence
She will also be the wife of  Rahim (showed here in the center!)

So which one do you think should be Millie...  (A)the one in the white or (B)the one
in the pink dress?

I have a poll on the right but I would love to hear your comments too!

April Thrift Store Finds and Purchases!

Hey Gang!

So here are my thrift store finds and Purchases thus far!  I even have started
making jewelry for my dolls so I will show you that too!

First up is

Mary Poppins doll!  I think I scored with this one!  I have never see
this doll before in a thrift store!  She is articulated and her hair
and makeup are in good shape!

She didn't have clothing but I found a bag of doll clothing at the thrift store!
Woo Hoo! You got to love it when you find doll clothes in good shape
at the thrift store! I don't mind buying new doll clothes but most of the new
stuff is made poorly and way to young looking for my older dolls.  Here is
Julie, that is what I'm calling her, with Camille wearing new outfits.  The
shirt and pants Julie is wearing came from the clothes bag along with the pants
that Camille is wearing.

Camille is sporting I top that I got at our last Doll Club meeting!  I'm still
basking in the glow of the meeting!  She is also wearing a necklace I made.

Thanks again D7ana! My dolls are loving all the wonderful clothing I got from you!
If you read this post anywhere other

Next is this doll.

This doll is on her original body and she came with this dress.  Both her shoes
and the shoes Camille is wearing came in the the clothing bag!
I thought she might be Island Princess Barbie but I have one of those dolls.
She has the same headsculpt (Barbie Basics Tango) as Island princess but she
is on a taller body and her hair color is different!  I made this necklace too!
I'm thinking about naming her Millie!

Then

This Stacie was at the thrift store too.  I like her hat!  It is real blue fabric and
not that pick plastic cap that they gave Darrin!  What were they thinking!

Yeah, Darrin might have to borrow that hat!  Unfortunately her shoes
don't come off!:( She will still be a lot of fun around here.  Look at that
look in her eyes!  Trouble! She has been doing a lot of flipping around.
A Tomboy I think!

Also

I found this in the thrift store too. I don't know what it is but I got it anyway. If you
know, let me know!
It seemed to go well with my new Harry Potter doll.  Oh he isn't wearing his glasses.
He is wearing Max's glasses and Max is now wearing his.

And

Patrick Dempsey doll from Disney's  movie Enchanted is here again!  I had one before
that I sold because his head was soo big but I think I will keep him now.
His clothing was also in the for mentioned bag.

Should he be doctor McDreamy here?  What do you think?

Last Doll

Should he have a wife with a big head too?  I found this Live is a Dream Midge on
sale.  I am a sucker for a redhead.  Even a large redhead.

 Props!

I didn't need another house!  You know I didn't but I could just let is sit there!
It was 3 bucks!  I just couldn't let it sit there.  I already have one Happy Family
house.  So maybe I'll do a street like Vanessa!
The cart was $1.00. I saw these cart a while ago on Flickr and liked it.  It is not
complete but I'm sure I can "Froggy" something.
At first I only saw the one chair.  I madly searched for the second and hoped that
there were more but there were only two.
Yelp! 25 cents each! I don't know what set they belong to.  If you know, let me know.

OK that is it for now!

Thanks For looking!
