Back at the longhouse!

Hey Gang!

This being November, let's check up on some of the Native American
who live in Johnston!  Apollonia has move here and is hoping her sisters
will live here too!
They came to visit and she is hoping that they will decide to stay.
Naira, Apollonia and Mia
Her older sister is Mia and she has a husband and two children.  Her husband
couldn't come but she has arrived with the children.

All the children are enjoying story time with the other young children.

Mia's son GT has decided to explore and is out for a walk!
 GT: This place is great!
There is so much to see and do!
Mia has heard a lot about this place. Mia was the attorney who worked with
Edward Running Bear about getting this land back in Native American hands.

Loraine: We are so happy and glad to be here!  It is all in a big part due to you!
Edward Running Bear:  I can't wait to show you around!  I am hope that you and
your family will choose to stay.  I have a ton of questions for you and I still need
your help!

It was important to Mia to put images to the place she worked so hard to secure.
Mia: It is very beautiful here!

Apollonia's younger sister is Naira!  She and her new husband Elan have come too.
They have been married less than two months.  They met in graduate school
at North Carolina A&T. Elan's heritage is from the Susquehannock and
Shawnee tribes.

OK, Thanks For Looking!

New purchases!

Hey Gang!

So I have made some new purchases over the holidays and the new year! I
am soo behind! You can't believe how far behind I am!  So I try to catch
up and share them with you!

I found this skeleton at the thrift store!

I have always wanted one since I seen one in the  ME office in Roville!
Does anyone remember her ME office?
He needs I little help but I think I can make him work!

I could use the bones as a Native American artifact.
Apollonia: Then I would be involved!  And maybe my new fellowship student!
Ramone:  Who Me?

Or maybe it will be used for a murder mystery!
The police team: And we will be involved!

So I found him with this guy! they were in the same bag.

He also could use some help!
While shopping I also found this girl!  Skelita!
 Closeup!

I had thought she would be good to sell until I got her home!  Something about her
grew on me. I remove her close and was surprised at her body!
I really kinda like her body without the clothes better!
 Oh don't look!
Sorry hon! We are looking!
She really has an interesting body.  More so to me that the other dolls I have seen.
She doesn't have jointed ankles but that because she has high heel feet.
She has an interesting face too! That photographs well!
Graceful hands...
  and breast-chest!
Skeleton: I really like your breast bones!

Skelita: You are such a mess!
 Skelita: Let's dance!

 Smooch!
Skeleton: You are so like on your feet!
Skelita:  It is the lack of flesh and organs.  I am light!
Skeleton:  I'm going to spin you!

Skelita:  Alright see you later!
 Skelita: Maybe on Halloween!

OK, Thanks For Looking!

Apollonia and The Dig!

Hey Gang!

We haven"t seen Apollonia in a long time!  She has been far away on a dig finding
artifacts to bring back to the museum.  She was with a team and most of the
things they found will go to the National Museum here but a few things
will travel with her before they return to the National Museum.
They uncovered some really cool thing and they should bring a lot of people to
the museum. They will also send thing from their museum out on loan
National Museum.

Apollonia loves sleeping in a tent.  I reminds her of when she was small.
She got a good rest and woke up early. There is a lot to do.
She starts a fire for warmth, breakfast and as always...coffee!
She stretches and notices whirling sand in the distant.
Apollonia:  I am not a fan of sandstorms but I can deal with it!
The sun is high and warm.  She has breakfast and even has an energy bar
as a snack.

It does really look like it is going to be a great day!

The plane is to arrive today that will take her back to the States!  She scans the horizon
but no plane as of yet.
Hmm...maybe this way.
I don't see anything, so I guess I'll get some stuff done.

I have the crate and the tools to send things home.
This will be a special exhibit!  The town will love it. It should also bring
out-of-towners to the museum also.
I love it when the school children come to see our new exhibits.
I really love this onyx and gold cat! It is priceless!

I should take some pictures to send to Megan so she can prepare.  It will be a lot
of work. She will be excited.
She thinks about what Megan is doing right now.  Megan keeps everything running
smoothly while Apollonia is away. They are a good team!

There is nothing like morning light for photos. Apollonia get out her trusty camera.
It has seen many mile but works like a charm.
Megan is going to flip when she sees these!
I'll have to make sure I have all my permits to bring everything back and into the U.S.
I really hate being delayed in customs!

Checking our route, we are in for good weather all the way back and I got an
email that my permits are waiting for me at the airport! Fantastic!

OK! Thanks For Looking!
