So Now that everyone is talking about Will Smith!

While I wont mention what happen at the Oscars, I figured it was finally time for me to post my Original poseable Action Figure Hot Toys from 2001!

He came nude and I think he was modeled after  Will Smith from Independence Day.   

I actually purchased him back in 2002 and haven't posted him or played with him since 

my purchased him off of Ebay.

Out of  his plastic container with hands removed.

He has the Truetype Famoustype with 34 Joints.  He was the first action figures and the first with this type of body.  I also have another with this body.  On my blog he is known as Dupre-Blues-Becker.

One reason is his face!

The pinkish paint on his lip and under his eyes seems off to me! 

Now you couldn't see this when I purchased him.

Also his complexion is darker than Will Smith is in person.  This was one of the first 1/6 scale dolls/action figures with Will's likeness so I had to have him back then!  

Many dolls and action figures are release in relationship with a movie of TV series.  This doll was released in 2001 and it was still a bit early in Will Smith's acting career.  The first movie I believe where he really got notoriety was Six Degrees of Separation in 1993.  After that he did Bad Boys, Independence Day, Men in Black, Enemy of the State (One of my personal favorites. I need a Regina King doll!), Wild,Wild West, The legend of Bagger Vance and Ali in 2001, the year this figure was released.  He went on to do many more movies and TV series.  He even stating his own production company. He is considered on of the highest paid actors.

This headsculpt's complexion doesn't seem to match any of these characters for the movie he did prior to 2001. So I am still thinking Independence Day. As for the eyes and mouth, at this point in my dolly career I think I can change that and will this year.

Another reason he did get to much play time is his hands. This type of action figure has problems with the hands.

The fingers are articulated having wire in side of them. Trying to pose the hand or the storage of the figure out of the plastic container it came in will cause the problem. The base of the hand break away from the stem of the hand joint.  The stem can break off in the forearm.

The feet  are bigger than Ken doll so you will need your lager male shoes for this guy!  the hand join. 

So I will leave people with a better background on these types of things to discuss Will Smith's behavior!

The Beckers

Becker is one of the well known names in music. The
town of Johnsonton is luck to have two of them living
there.


Cyrus isn't as well know to people outside of the
music business. He is more of a background guy. He
writes, arranges, and produces but what he enjoys the
most is teaching. That is why he moved to Johnsonton.
“To inspire new minds to music”.



His cousin Dupree is better known outside the music world.
He has recorded several CD’s and has a Grammy nomination.
He was given the nick-name Blues as a child. This name came
from his love of the blues and jazz but also the moodiness he
sometimes exhibited.


His moodiness can be a block to his music.
But he learned that spending time with family helps get him
out of his funk.

He decided to helps is cousin unpack the instruments
for the beginning of the school year. They mess around on
them too. The time they spend together inspires them both!
