It Is All About Stacie!

 Hey Gang!

Back in 2011, when I first posted about the new Stacie doll, I showed you the Stacie that was part of the sister's set. I purchased her because she had the cutest freckles!

There was another Stacie doll out around the same time. She was the Stacie doll with the bangs but this doll didn't have the freckles.

Barbie Sisters Fun Prize

.

Sadly, she had "the bent arm" which I don't like!

I found the Stacie doll with the bangs and the Stacie with an articulated body(bending at the elbow and the knees)  in a thrift store. I switched the head with the bangs onto the articulated body. Here she is!
I plan to use the doll with the bangs as my summer/fall Stacie on my blog.
I thought the doll with the bangs was blonde but her hair is actually strawberry-blonde
with blonde chunks. It is like she spent a lot of time in the sun.
Two other Stacie dolls I found in my thrift store travels.
This one....
and this one. She has had a chop to parts of the back of her hair.
I put some hairjell on it to smooth it out.
Look at their faces.  There are slight differences in the eyes and lip color.
All four girls!

After having a great summer, Stacie is happy to see her old friends! Stacie meets Brie in the hall!

Nursery School Play Set

 Hey Gang!

Matty is one of my favorite little characters!

She is part of the Reading Family including Carmine(the dad), Brie, Rihanna(  her sister and grandmother Carmen. So where did I find Matty? Here is the answer!

Back in 2012, I purchased this set from Aldi's Market!

The set includes a Barbie doll, 2 toddler dolls(same face), a  jungle gym, school-themed furniture and tons of accessories

Matty was one of the toddler dolls that came with the set. Matty is on the rocking
horse. There is a table and push toy.

There was also a blonde version of the doll in the set. Here she is with the slide and jungle gym.

The Barbie doll below came with the set.

Documenting Old Playset!

Hey Gang!

I am documenting playsets for my record on my blog. As you may know, part
of the reason for my blog is to document my doll related purchases.  I often
buy thing and open it at the register, telling the clerk I am trying to decrease my
carbon footprint. I will be leave the packaging  there as part of their  carbon footprint.
They love that. 😉 Or I put it in the trash before I even leave
the store.

Back in 2011 I purchased three Dora the explorer set. I got a really good deal
with free shipping!  They were no longer in stores, so I jumped on it! I found
another one a little later but I have bee using the items off and on in photos.
I got the cafeteria set....

The  art room...
And the school Room.

One of the things I love about these sets is that the backdrop can be used for dioramas.
The backdrops have pieces to helped them stand and they don't fall over.
Kenyatta in the art set!
The backdrop "feet" ! There are normally  one at each corner that are "L" shape
There are one or two in the center of the of the backdrop.
Stacie Ricky and Brie
I know I have used these backdrops and so have many others.
Reecie in the red chair from the classroom.

Terrence in the green chair  from the cafeteria and ...
the art cabinet is in his office!

Another good thing is that furniture isn't pink and is well made.  Although the
Dora doll isn't Barbie size,  the scale of the furniture is right for Barbie!

Another set that I got when I first started collecting and haven't shown is this

World Peacekeepers Medical set with doctor!  I order this for J.C. Penny's when
they still had a catalog department.

I have show the action figure.  He is the father of one of my college girls!.
He was at the airport! He is John.
I have used a few pieces from this set but will use them more in my hospital.

Kenyatta, Bakari and Mali get clothes for school!

Hey Gang!

Brie, Stacie, and Ricky!

I have tried to create a back-to-school post for my young dolls over the last few
years. Mostly, it has been Stacie Green, but she needs classmates.  So I need to have
other dolls in school with her besides Ricky and Brianna.

One of the boys in her class is Kenyatta.  Here he is in a couple of his
back-to-school outfits!

Kenyatta’s favorite color is green!
(Kenyatta is my Todd doll head on...
 a Kenya Keyshia doll body.)

Kenyatta’s brother and sister, who are twins, are Backari and Mali.
Mali is wearing a jumper and a green top with sparkles on it.
You can say her brother influenced her choice of top!
Mali: Hi!

Mali:  I also got a denim shirt and striped skirt.

Mali: I love denim!

Mali: I also got a denim skirt with a Tutti Frutti sweater.

Bakari: Only cause you almost cried if you didn’t get the sweater! Her brother says
with a slightly discussed voice!
Mali: Sooo!
Bakari: Sooo!
Mali: Sew buttons! Ha, Ha!
Kenyatta: OK, you two, stop that!
Mali: He stated it!
Kenyatta: Well, I’m ending it!
This is Bakari!
Bakari got a green shirt and cami shorts.  I think he got this because his brother
told him it was cool and made him look tuff!
Bakari: Hi!
This is his second outfit!

Bakari:  My favorite number is fifteen!

Here they all are with their mother Zuri!
Zuri: I still have so much more to do to get you guys ready for school!
