Disney Males and Video of the Month

Hey Gang!

Mattel doesn't do many male face sculptures all at once. As a matter of fact,
there are currently more male face sculptures in all Mattel's lines now than
ever. Right now in their Barbie playline ( not including Gamer) there is one
Ken face sculpture (some with different hair), two AA face sculptures
(one an old and one new), and one the have not given a background.

In contrast because of movie merchandising, Disney has always had more
and different head sculptures released at the same time. There is normally
a male character for each female lead character.

In the beginning of my doll collecting, the of the first males
I purchased was not Mattel Ken but a Disney male by Mattel.

Yes this guy Kocoum.  On a new body and named Bison Most of the first Disney
male doll available in toy store were made by Mattel for Disney back then.  He is still
my favorite but he does have some competition!

And in the beginning, I was skeptical of Disney dolls especially the one not made
by Mattel!  I didn't really like them. I thought their heads were too big and their eyes
were too cartoonish!  Yep, Disney had balloon head dolls before Mattel did them.
Disney Bell

 Mattel Fashion Fever

I didn't think Kocoum was made that way!  His head is not so large and maybe because
he was a serious character, he doesn't look so cartoonish! Mattel with Disney has done one
of the few Native American male doll or indigenous male dolls....

I have slowly been worn down! I guess it started with Li Shang and Naveen.  There
are just so few male fashion dolls and fewer ethic male dolls that I add Disney males
to expand my collection.  I hate having single female dolls around.  They seem lonely.

Li Shang
Disney store and Mattel side by side.
Naveens!
Disney and Mattel.
I even purchased a new Li Shang with molded hair.  I will make him a brother.

After purchasing the Mattel version of these male dolls, I started looking at
the Disney store versions and purchased them too!  Mattel only came out with one Asian!
Thank goodness there have been AA Ken/Stevens and others.

I have added Lucas to my collection!  Yes, that is the name that I have given him.

He is Disney Prince Philip!
I might change his body but not right now!

I might want to do what pseudanoymous did from Flickr did body wise but I really
have plans to do what he did to Flynn Rider hair.  For now I only have the doll!

I also purchase a Frozen Kristoff.

The doll they sold in the stores had the molded on clothes but the eye looked
forward. The Disney store doll had clothes you could take off but it was side
glancing.  As you might know, side glancing is not my favorite!  I got both at
thrift stores thinking the heads would be interchangeable but they were not the
same complexion nor do that have the same neck knob.

I have come across many Captain Phoebus doll!

They make great body donors for darker complexion 70's, 80's and 90's.
I has used him for Kocoum.  He is a good match but I like the liker AA
body for him even better.
I decided to give him a repaint and make him a Native American.  His facial
features work to me. The hair and the eye color were wrong though.
Cheveyo!
He was asked by Running Bear to preform the Cleansing Ceremony for  the longhouse.

OK, Thanks For Looking!

November And Native Americans!

Hey Gang!

In keeping of the year of the children, I wanted to show you some new addition to
my play scene.  I purchased these dolls as a set off of Esty!  They are Dancing Brook
from Kids Kore.

I purchase the two dolls because they were cheaper than I saw one doll selling
for. They came with these really great outfits too.  But I have other plans for them.
After I paid for them I realized....you got it...that one could be a boy.  The boy that
Kids Kore does is way smaller so it make sense to make one a boy.

They are a little smaller that the old Stacie doll. They have wire in their legs to
make them bend and hold in place.  Their hair isn't as nice as Mattel doll and it was
a Hot Mess too.  Lots of conditioner for these two!
So here is Dancing Brook and Two Feather!

 Yes, they are twins!
The clothes are a mixture of Bratz, Mattel  and off brand doll clothes.

I have restyled my Bison (Kocoum) doll also!

I worked on his Mohawk some! He keeps his hair pulled back except for the
one braid. and he got some jewelry.  I make that for him!  He loves it.

He really liked this Liv doll shirt and Ken Black jeans.
I re-bodied my doll onto a tall AA body.  He is now tall that many of the men
around here.
I do miss the tattoos on the body I might have to try my hand at that too!
His height make him a bit imposing!
Rae got her ceremonial dress!
She is a jewelry designer so she will add some jewelry to hers!
Her husband love it on her too!

OK, Thanks For Looking!

Thrift Store Purchases From September!

Hey Gang,

I am a little reluctant to post now.  It seems that blogger took down a few of the
posts of mine that were cloned but the majority of them are still up on the clone
blog! The clone blog has about 2-3 years of my post up on their blog.  The only
way that they take them down if for me to list every URL they listed along with
every URL of mine for comparison!  You can't just list the whole blog as a
copied.Since a pops up add appears every time  you click on one of their clone
links taking you to who knows where and with the possibility of infecting my
computer, I not sure what I can do.

I can't tell you how upset I got when I noticed post after post was copied.  They
don't even list their posts.  So I'm not sure how far back it goes.  I had notice
usually high spikes in the amount of viewers I had from time to time.  I am
wondering if that was them.  One year a did about 100 posts, one every
three days, as a challenge for myself.  Let me tell you, that was a lot for me!
It seem to me that blogger doesn't  make posting all that incredibly easy to
do, so it  must be a computer doing it. If you read this post on any other
blog than I-Luv-Dolls@blogspot.com...
IT IS A FAKE!!! Run!!
I think I will add that from here on out!

OK, Here WE Go!

I did some real damage at the thrift store lately.  I will have to take October
off...maybe! In one of my last posts I told you I have been re-boding the guys
around her too.  I found some thrift store doll on articulated bodies and I got
some extra bodies for re-boding!

First up is Happy Family Dad-Alan!
I already have the AA Happy Family Dad so it was good to add him to
my collection.

His face seems a little lighter than the body.  I wasn't sure at first that it was his
original body...
but he is wearing the painted on ring.

Next I found HSM Troy!
This is the first (2007?) doll, the 12" doll, not the 10 inch one that they did later. I will
need to take out the battery on the doll because the singing annoys me! Have
you ever had one of those doll go off unexpectedly?
I like his hair much better than the other version of the doll.  The blonde is kinda
chunky! He also has a better face paint than the smaller dolls. I had started to
purchase the last one at the now closed Toys R US near me but someone
beat me to it!

Next is Phoebus from the Hunchback of Notre Dame.  I found three of these
at one time! Yes, I could have left the other two for someone else but
am someone else! So I took all three!

Phoebus: I don't think I want to be a blonde!
Ms. Leo:  You don't look like a Phoebus either!
This guy got one of the other bodies. He is a
Hawaiian Ken.
Ken: Thanks man!  Phoebus: No problem!
The other went to this guy! He is a Pocahontas Kocoum
He is now called Bison

Bison: I want to thank him too!  I was feeling as stiffer than Johnny Depp in
the Lone Ranger!
Speaking of Native American dolls, I found these two also!  I dressed them in
swimsuits for the post.  I believe they are the 1995 Barbie American Indian
American Stories and 1993 Native American Barbie 2nd edition!
 Native American Barbie 2nd edition.
I am seeing more of this one up for sale and I already have
several of the  Teresa head sculpts.  So she will be up for sale
alone with re-bodied Phoebus!
 Barbie American Indian American Stories.

This one I am keeping and have re-bodied onto an Esmeralda articulated body. She
is now Daisy! She is wearing a Pocahontas dress.  She will need some shoes!
Daisy: Hi! Lovely to meet you!
I was going to put flowers in her hair but that would be overkill!
 Finally we have
Jesse "The Body"Ventura
This is the 1999 JESSE VENTURA Man of Action-Governor of Minnesota Doll
He was $5.00 and worth it if just for the clothing! Yeah, you remember him for
Wrestling and the Predator movie!

The box

Now it is my picture taking and not that his eyes are quite that strange.
He is kinda handsome in a rugged kinda way!
 Nice shirt and tie!
 Clothing
Jessie: I can still wrestle with the best of them!
 A new baldy.
 Wrestling a bear pose!
 Shoes and socks!
 Bare wrestling a bear!
 Markings!
 I also got this one...
(This one be a good body donor for him too!)
 and this one!
This will be a hard neck to find a body for!
 Lastly is her!
She may go on the tree this year!
So this is just a small part of what I got! I was dolly high for a few weeks!

OK! Thanks For Looking!
