More Summer Doll Clones!

 Hey Gang!

The second most popular clone head sculpt is the Summer head sculpt. The first is the
CEO/Generation Girl. Here is my new clone doll, City Cyclin', who has the Summer head sculpt.
Close-up!
There is a lot in the box. Not bad for $7.99.
The outfit isn't bad either.
There is a bicycle helmet.
It is not a bad bike. It may get painted.
The kickstand goes up!
Not the best cat, but not the worst.  A repaint could make a difference.
Some photos on the side of the box.
Out of her clothes, the body isn't the best.
She has the slender legs characteristic of most clone dolls.
This is one of the Summer doll head sculpts. This is the darkest complexion I've seen used for the sculpture.

(Summer 2004-2015)

Warning: Nude Dolls!

There is also an imperfection on the neck. I plan on reboding her so it is no big deal.

The hair is not as thin as that of many clone dolls.
I will be using the #1 body for this doll.
This body can be used for many of the darker bodies.

This body can also be used for Malibu Christie!
It is not a perfect match, but it will do!
Rebodied!
Now she can ride the bike. She will be called April.

Next up!

Black Skin Curly Hair Doll—Play 66 Sports Collection. I purchased her from Temu for about $4.50. She already comes articulated, so I didn't have to give her a new body. Or so I thought!

She has the Summer 2011 head sculpt, which is used more often than the many other Summer sculpts.

I love this hair look, but sadly, it is primarily rooted in the hairline.
My doll!
When I saw her nude (you may not be able to tell from my photo), her body was darker than her head.  I had a few of the medium brown bodies. So she was rebodied!
Here she is on her new body!

So here is Nia! Nia is a nursing assistant.
Other Summer photos
Summer and Summer clone doll that I call Zuri.

I redodied Zuri onto one of the clone articulated bodies. Zuri will work as a teacher's assistant while completing her teaching degree. She will work at the school where her children attend. She is dropping them off.

OK, Thanks For Looking!

Clone Barbie Doll Family With An Upgrade!

 Hey Gang!

I have purchased clone dolls before. All of the male dolls have shorter necks, but this is the first male doll that I have seen with a longer neck and an articulated body.  I had to have this one.

The son, the dad, the mother, and the daughter.

I will start with the daughter! She is an AA 5.5-inch doll. She is the size of a Mattel Chelsea doll, and employs one of the faces of 2012 Chelsea.

Her dress features a printed pattern, and she wears pink shoes.
Her dress Velcro's in the back. Like many clone dolls, her hair isn't as fully rooted as a Chelsea doll.

The son is also an AA 5.5-inch doll. I have other AA Chelsea-size boy dolls, but he is the first clone.
He has the hairstyle of a Mattel 2017 Chelsea boy doll.
Original Chelsea boy doll for comparison.
His outfit is a one-piece design, and it features Velcro in the back.
The other AA Chelsea male dolls have a small afro or curls.

Next up is Mom!

She is a clone! I can't decide which doll she is a clone of.  Is she a clone of Millie Barbie or of
the Alex Barbie headsculpt? Every time I look at her, I think something different.

Let me know what you think!
Next is the Dad!
He is who I really wanted. He has a longer neck and is a good likeness of the Fashionista.
Ken doll #123. The 2017 Rafa/Hip Hoodie headsculpt.
His outfit is two-piece, and Velcro's in the back.
He is a little shorter than the Fashionista Ken dolls. His complexion is grayer than a Mattel
Ken doll of a similar tone.
I am hoping this body size will work for my Slim Ken dolls, especially #130. I want to keep mine
as a youth, but I want him to have an articulated body..

OK, Thanks For Looking!

Christmas Clones!

Hey Gang!

This time of year more dolls appear than Barbie and brand dolls!  There are many off
brand dolls for sale in discount stores like TJ Maxx, Dress Barn, Wal-Mart, Dollar
General, Dollar, Family Dollar and many more!  So while you are out and about
Christmas shopping, do check out the toy section of these stores!

Many of the dolls that show up as part of the holiday offerings are clones .  Most of these
are Mattel faces but not all.  Purchasing these clones gives you a chance to purchase
some of you favorite dolls in a way that Mattel never did them. ( I guessing that the
patents on the heads are up or that because they are made in foreign countries, they are
not being honored.)  The major problems with off brand dolls and clones is that the body,
hair and face screening isn't as good but the price is normally better.
Most of the time they are the most popular head sculpts but not always!  Some companies
carried in the better stores are done well!...

Original and Clone!
This is one of my favorite clones.
but not always as you find note from below!
Even at $2.00 she was not worth bringing home even for the clothes.

So here are some dolls I found while I was out yesterday!

I have seen the faces on these dolls before!
AA Fairies
All of these have similar faces but different hair, hairstyles and dresses!

Mother and baby! Fun in the Park set!
Sister dolls!
Summer Bliss set!  Wait! is that a Stacie clone!
Yes! It is!
I think I like this one better! It doesn't have a name.

It may be a while before they release the AA Stacie doll.  So this doll will have to
do until then.  So this is my purchase!  I will do an open box look at her coming up!
