May Is Disney Month! New Teen Disney Purchases!

I want you to know that I made May Disney month! So don't look for it on any list of monthly celebrations!  Unless it catches on!

New teen Disney Purchases.

I purchased this doll and I didn't know who it was. I was told he was Kevin size,
I found out he is the Disney Store High School Musical(  HSM)#3 Troy doll!

Sometimes the clothes are a clue to the doll. I purchase my doll nude so he didn't come with all these wonderful accessories...Boo!

I was glad to get him and add him to my crew!

Warning Nude Dolls

My nude doll and his stains on his body! 

The placement of the stains leads me to believe that the shirt isn't its' one piece but part of the jacket. 

It may be just a collar with tie in the front of shirt and cuffs attached to a jacket sleeve. It is the only way I can explain the dark marks under the arm.

In the past when I had a doll with stains from clothes, I would purchase the
Acme cream from the Dollar Tree and use it to bleach the stains out of the body.The Dollar Tree hasn't carried the cream lately. So I will be searching for another cheap source.

Comparing him to Mattel HSM

He is a little shorter than the Mattel doll and he has a stiff bend click knee. He is much lighter than the Mattel doll. He has painted on undies.  The body looks like it was made by Jakks. Which doll do you think looks more like Zac Efron?

The chest is different!

The feet are larger.  You can kinda make Ken shoes fit on HSM dolls loosely.

But the Disney store doll's feet are larger and fit better in Ken shoes.

Compared To BSI Kevin

He is a little smaller but he doesn't have that crazy bend arm.  He is a little thicker than Kevin. 

So,.... pants no, and tops yes!

Shoes are a no!

I finally put him on a Ron Weasley doll body. He is now Jimmy.

Hi everyone!

Disney Frozen 2 doll Ryder.

Most of the new male dolls in Frozen 2 (except for Lt. Mattias) come as part of a set. Boo! I would love to purchase the father( I love his face) but I am not willing to spend the money for the set just to get him.

I love his face too and would love to have the complete outfit but that is not what I was able to purchase for cheap. I can't spend all my stimulus money on dolls you know!

Equally, I am not willing to spend the money for this set just to get Ryder.  So I purchase him solo and as nude as you can get with painted on pants on ebay!

He was rebodied on to a Justin Beiber body!  

They are always a ton of them lying around here! Some have a flat neck which can be used for action figures and some have a rounded neck and can be used for dolls like this one!

He is happy with his new look and a little more movement!  The Troy body went to this guy!

Hight School Musical House/School!

I know I told you with the purchase of my last large house that I didn't need another but I got one any way!  I just couldn't leave it at the thrift store. 

 Not for this price!

 It has some nice features even if I take it apart to use.  I have see this entry in many dioramas.  I have even seen it repainted. 

 I would like to use it as a office building but it might even work well as a school.  Who know what I can do with this.  I will have to remove the stickers!  You guys who have done this, please give suggestions.  I don't want this project to sit for long.

This is a very large sticker.... it looks like it will be some work!

I guess this side was the gym?  The brown and beige floors make not painting them easy and the gold accents are nice too. It has a formal feel.

So the read curtains will go...they might make a cute outfit for one of my dolls.  I have been inspired about recycling items after some things I have seen on flickr!

From what I have seen the doors might be a challenge.  I think that they will be brown! That color might take better than other colors.

I am not sure what this is or if it even belongs to this set.  I will play around with it. 

These I believe belong to a table to the set but the top was not at the thrift store with the house.  Since they are not gold, I will use them somewhere else.

Gold detail I like and red detail that must go!  I have a sheet behind the house just in case you were wondering.  It makes the details of the house stand out.

The doors go here! This could be a really nice entry way!

Because I purchased this house I felt OK about selling my Happy Family Smart House to a fellow blogger!  You know who you are.  I don't plan to do that much painting to this house. Like I said,  I will paint over some of the red but that is about all with the painting and I will remove the sticker too.  I will be looking for formal scrapbook paper to add to the house. Because of its' color it will combine will with my Moxie Jammaz House facade and Cali Girl Hawaiian Hotel Resort. 

For that reason I am giving it the

#10 spot

on my best doll related purchases for 2012!

I know the design of this is very similar to the Grand Hotel and it too will go up for sale!  I don't want to have to paint over the pink. The VVictorian house is still up in the air!  This is a more manageable project and may be where I need to start.

A Moring of Mixing and Matching!

This morning I spent de-boxing and mixing and matching.
so let me show you a little of what I did. You remember
this guy. Well I found him some hands.


They are not the best match but they are much better than
the black gloves. I'm calling him Victor. I haven't got a bio
or story for him so he won't be in characters yet.

He says hi!

Next is Trichelle! You remember her too don't you?

Well parts went everywhere! Her body went to AA Diva
Barbie. I love her face and want to add her as a character.



Her name is Sierra. I will be posting her bio this week
so stay tuned!



Sierra has a younger sister and her name is Sienna.


Francie has Trichelle's jacket! It looks so cute on her. She will
be receiving her story and her family too very soon.


I found this doll in a thrift store.She is by
Kodansha (the writing on the back of dolls is getting smaller
and smaller :)) and I have seen her sold in Kmart. I didn't
like her body and she is now on a HSM body. Can you
guess which one?


She is Aya's tutor student Chanel!


I tried Trichelles head on the same HSM doll. This one
has a slightly darker skin tone. The head works but the
makeup is a little to extreme for a teen. Should she stay
with a makeup change? Should she be left the way she is
with a story explaining the makeup? I take votes on
that too!

Finally, you remember Brenda as a child. Well it took some
head swapping to get her. Remember in the picture she was
bigger than Steven but smaller than Maya.


Here is the final swap! I had a mermaid Kelly who's hair turns
pink in hot water. You know I didn't need that but I liked and
need the body. I also received a AA Ballerina Barbie and Kelly
from Dollz4Moi. Thanks!!!


I like the head of the Kelly but not the feet.
So the Mermaid Kelly head is now of the ballerina body.
I purchase a SIS Kianna. Her head is on the mermaid Kelly's
body. The AA smug face Kelly body and the ballerina head
are together as young Brenda! Wow! you can't tell
the players without a score card or should I say picture. BTW
Grown up Brenda has the AA ballerina body. I just love her
hands and arms. I am planning a leg transplant on her. Stay
tuned for that too!

Torn Between Versions of the Same Doll!

I have three versions of
High School Musical Gabriella.

The first is HSM 1 Gabriella –first issue if the doll,




the second is HSM 3 Graduation Gabriella



and third is prom date Gabriella.


Yes they all need their fly-aways handled but
I am in a hurry.

The last two both came out the same year. The first issue
doll is beige-ish complexion as more dolls were issued,
the Gabriella dolls for some reason got darker! The
last two dolls the Grad and the Prom dolls are darkest
with Prom being darker than Grad. Now I never saw
the movies so maybe there is something in them
that explains it like she was in South America for a
while but I don’t know why she kept getting darker.
I thought about that while reading
Black Doll Collecting's blog on the Liv Alexis.

My dilemma-
I only need to keep one doll but which one.
I have narrowed it to Prom and Grad. They do look
different. I love the complexion on the Grad and the
Prom date dolls. She is a caramel color on both but
Prom is a little darker with darker lip color. I love the
hair on the Prom too. It is not an everyday hairstyle…
the up do…so she does stand out. It harder for her to be
just one of the girls with that do! The complexions make
it harder than just keeping the head too or maybe I’m
being too picky . Decisions, decisions, decisions!
What would you do?
