Fences! On The Craft Table!

 Hey Gang!

One of the things that can be used in a outdoor diorama is a fence.  It can add a lot of detail and can be used to add distance in a scene.

This fence is one I purchased from Byers' Choice LTD. It is a nice fence.

I used it like this! See it behind the doll in this photo.
You can makes some nice fencing for a lot less than I paid for this fence. ($38.00)
One thing that makes a great fence is edging from the Dollar Tree or Dollar General!
One thing that you are looking for is scale!
Before!
This might mean bringing your doll along for measurement..  This is a good scale if the stakes are shorten.
After!
It looks like a wrought iron fence for a very fance location.
The same can be said for the color plastic edgilng.
Before!
After!
Before!
After!
Here is how I used it!
It was used in the background for the vechile scene for the Farm Show!
I need to continue that dio!
You can also use wrapping paper or contact and printed brick paper to make a fence/wall too.
By attaching it to cardboard it can become a fence or wall like this!
Or this! Brick print with a edge
Now, I found this fence at the thrift store! It is anothe place that you can overlook for diorama fences.
Last but not least, find some sticks and glue them together to make a fence.
That I used here.

OK, Thanks For Looking!

Pegasus Dolls

Hey Gang!

I have had a few of the dolls from the Mattel Pegasus line in my collection
for a long time!  I think I purchased them new in the box but I did also find
them in thrift stores. Can I say that I really miss shopping at thrift stores!

Anyway I have three of the issued dolls and their animals.  I don't really remember
when I purchased them and will have to use posts a my reference!

First up is Rayla!

Mattel Promo photo

I have a picture of her dress on Janay in 2011, so I must have had her for at least
that long!
I also have her pictured with AA Diva Barbie also from 2011.
Sienna and Sierra!
She is on a Belly Button body but I plan to move her to a SIS Trichelle body.

Next up is Prince Aidan

Mattel Promo photo

Sadly, poor Aidan has had to share his articulated body with many other male dolls! I'll let you know when I post dolls that share the body.

Finally is AA Prince Aidan

Mattel Promo photo
I have two dolls one was new and one was a thrift store purchase. So I have one on his own body as Trindon....

but have a also used his body for my Terrence, the old Steven/Antonio headsculpt.

More Thrift Store Find Not To Harp On It!

Hey Gang!

While at again one of my favorite thrift store I found this 1/6 size harp!

It is the perfect size for Barbie!

I found a small harp back in 2011 at TRU but nothing this size!
 Comparing!
There was nothing on it to say who it was made by.  No marks, stamps
or anything.  I though it might be made by Byers' Choice LTD but I didn't
see anything that look like it on their site.

There is something missing here but I don't know what it is. I think I will fill it in with
wood putty and paint it over.

 The strings!

I still think I need a stool or chair but it is a great diorama piece!

If you know who it is by, please let me know and send any info you
might have!

OK, Thanks For Looking!

Bigger Is Not Always Better!

Hey Gang!

I visit a few thrift stores.  The big stores, the chain thrift stores like Goodwill, research
the items that they sell.  So you might get a deal but it is not often the "find" that
I sometimes look for!  So lately I have been going to the small stores, the
neighborhood stores, in search of thing that don't turn up for me at least in the
large store.  Like any thrift store shopper, I am careful.  I don't want to bring home
anything other that what I purchased!

You might remember that I found a Happy family and and chairs a while ago.

I got them at the local store. I went there again today.  This is
what I found..
Now I go nuts for boxes of stuff, so I grab this right away!

At $3.00 you would never guess what was in the box... to start off there were theses!

What a score!

That is right... the 1973 orange sofa set!  This would have been gone at the
larger stores!
 It has the chair too!
It even has these two chairs and
a coat rack!  For that price I can buy 3 more matching dinner orange
chairs to go with it! There is way more in this 3.00 box... but that is for next time.

Now I will show you a few new purchases!

If you read this post anywhere
other I-Luv-Dolls@blogspot.com
It is a fake!!! Run!!

After seeing these lovely dolls on Black Doll Collecting and Van's
Doll Treasures, I had to get them!  American Girl Minis! I got  some on sale.
 Kaya
 Ivy

 Cecile
All three out of the box!  I really love these dolls!
Kaya's face is different and her outfit will make her fit in with my Native American
dolls!
 The back!
My other Native American girls in special outfits.
 Ivy looks so confident!
I will try her outfit on the others!  It is so nice.
I really like that the boots Velcro in the back.
Cecile's hair and face are soo cute!  I will keep the dress for a special occasion.
The back.  I think I have shoes that I was planned of giving away that might fit
these girls.

Lastly, I found this clone doll too!

She was at one of those a dollar and over stores.  She was a $1.59.
Out of the box the, I like the face.  The hair is a little thin.  She might be
my first candidate for a re-root!
OK, the dress is a little sorry and the body is great but I have plenty of old
BB bodies lying around for her!
The face is a different clone face than I've seen and I like that!
I think she is this doll but black!
 I like the face!
