Black History Month and Chinese New Year Featuring 2004 Street Fusion Jade!

 Hey Gang!

It is Black History Month!

Integrity Toys!

Founded in 1995 by Percy Newsum,

This photo and information are from https://www.integritytoys.com/company-information/

Integrity Toys is a family-owned business based in Chesapeake City, Maryland. With the absolute lack of diversity in the doll industry at the time, Percy’s dream was to build a company that would display a balance, showing respect and appreciation to all cultures. His innovation in the industry did not only help children develop self-love but also fostered respect and understanding for all ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds.

In 2000, with the exceptional collaboration of Integrity Toys very first Creative Director and Designer “Jason Wu” along with the design team, Integrity Toys welcomed its first “collectible” collection and its Fashion Royalty concept.

You can read about my first Integrity Toys doll here!

Chinese New Year!

2004 Street Fusion Jade isn't a grail but she is close to me!

Out of the box!
The outfit is cute! It has a Mandarin collar satin top with red trim.

The pants are an Asian print flower brocade with red cuffs and gold dot buttons on them.
Taupe color shoes and taupe leather hat. The taupe apple hat is the "topper" of the whole outfit. This outfit is still as stylish today as it was in 2004!
From the back!
Her long pigtails add to the young edge of the look.

Close-up!

She has a great face screening and this face sculpt is better than the older sculpts.

The box seemed kinda moldy. Not to the point of discoloring the accessories but there were spots on the cardboard.

Warning Nude Dolls

I was looking to give her some articulation.  She isn't the complexion of Barbie dolls.  If you are familiar with IT dolls you will know that they have a gray undertone. A body matching to Barbie body can be hard.
I had anwas Evil Queen doll that is close in complexion and had articulated arms and click knees. She also has a small wait like this IT Doll. I thought it might work.
My comparison.
I am happy with the rebody and am calling her Liu!

OK, Thanks For Looking!

Last Post For The Year!

Hey Gang!

I hope to have a lot of posts coming up!  Santa got me a new
camera for Christmas! I no longer have to share a camera with
my husband!  That also means I better know where my camera
is and not ask him did he see it. Now all I need is a new computer!

I've been work off of a tablet lateley.  My tablet is a lot faster than
my old computer but it can do everything. I can't upload pictures
with the tablet and my computer is on it's last leg! So I'm at the
libray posting!

I want to show you my last head swaps for 2013! Not that I don't
have more head swaps than I'm showing here but these are the
last that I will show.

The Girls!

I've had this doll a long time but she hasn't got much play time
until now. She is integrity toys Alysa doll with the Candi headsculpt but I
don't know which one.

This is Pilar.  She is  Brenda's best friend and a hairdresser too! They
met in hairdressing school.  Pilar doesn't pull any punches and speaks
her mind.
She can now move like I want her to and as she needs to for doing hair.
She is on a Disney Jasmine body.  Here she is with another Integrity Toys
Alysa doll.
She is awaiting a Jasmine body.  She eyes Pilar enviously. The Jasmine
head will be for sale on the doll page if you are interested.

I have put my America doll on a Skipper body.  She has bendable legs
but is awaiting bendable arms. She is originally a BFF Aliesha doll.
This is her second body swap.

She will make a great teen in an upcoming storylilne.
m
It will also give her more cothing options.

I rebodied my Twilight Jabcob onto a Hunter Huntsman body.
It isn't a prefect complexion match but it is better than nothing.  This body is
shorter that Ken dolls.  It is about the size of the Liv doll Jake. I did have to
return this doll because the arm broke off at the elbow.  So be warned! Also,
he was not an easy head swap!  The neck is smaller than Ken dolls.  In
addition.  The knob is longer.  I had to cut it to make the head fit.  I am
happy with him for now.  He keeps his name Jabob and will be the brother
of Rae.

The clothing and feel of the body works well with the Jacob outdoor kind of thing!
If you read this post anywhere other than

It is a fake!!! Run!!
I took him outside for some shots with the new camera.
 Resting on a rock!
 He loves the outdoors!

Jacob: WOW, this was a workout!  I need to rest.  I never been here before.
It's a good thing I wore my climbing boots!

OK, Thanks For Looking and Happy New Year!

Staying Power Darius Reid! 91210 2010 --Another Grail Doll!

Hey Gang!

I have another Grail Doll!  I told you when I started working my new job that
I wanted to purchase some of my Grail Dolls.  Those purchases for me
make me feel like I'm not just a rented mule!

So the next doll on my list was Darius Reid.  I was't sure which one I would
get but this guy came up first.  He was the lowest price I have seen for one
thus far and he was fully dress!

Darius Reid was an adaptation of the previous Tariq Integrity Toys doll.
I.T. had done several complexion and screening variations on this head
sculpt before revamping the body and head of their dolls altogether for FR.

Here is a close-up of that dolls head sculpt

Some say that the head sculpt was modeled after model Tyson Beckford.
What do you think?

Alrigh back to the doll!  It looks like there were three versions of this doll for FR!
High and Mighty (1), Darius Reid- Playing It Cool (2), and Staying
Power (3) which is the one I purchased. I only found two sets of pictues
of all three together but there might be more.  Here is the  first set of pictures
I found on flickr.  The second set I found on Terri Gold's blog.  It does appear
that Darius got light with each reincarnation.  Most photos of Staying Power
make him lighter in complexion that what he is in person.  I would say that he
is about the same complexion as my  other AA homme guys Remi and Victor.

The seller, let me use her ad photo for this post.  That was a good thing
because I couldn't get him out of the box soon enough.  I forgot to take
pictures and my camera battery charger was MIA too.

So this is what Integrity Toys had to say about him.
Limited Edition 500. Feeling hot, hot, hot!! Enough said. This dapper specimen of masculinity knows how to show off a suit to its best advantage. A little swagger and sway of the hips and we swoon! Includes: bullet 12.5 Inch/1:6 scale black flocked hair African American fashion figure; bullet Navy blue suit with subtle light grey pinstripe throughout and white shirt with double removable collar; bullet Navy blue shoes and sophisticated burgundy briefcase; bullet Doll stand and certificate of authenticity.

He is a great looking guy!  If Mattel could do their males the justice
of Integrity Toys they could really make money.  I know a few people
have had problems with I.T. items.  I am satisfied with all the items
I have purchased thus far.

Ok, it is time for my photos! So here he is!

Close-up!

His shirt has great detail.  More that I have seen on most male dolls and definitely Ken doll fashions.
His shirt comes with an extra collar which I don't understand but OK!
I might have liked a tie instead.

His pants have a real zipper!!
With great back pocket detail which you might not be able to see because of my
picture taking and the pants are very dark.
Right now he has on Ken shoes in black.  I didn't feel like fussing with small shoe strings right now.
The shoes he came with are blue leather and patent leather.  They are very stylish
I got extra hands which I don't think I got with Remi.
He has a great jacket too!

Fully lined...

and the pants too are fully lined.
He has on black sock that are well made for doll socks.

Fully dressed!  His suit may look black but it is a deep navy blue with a striped texture.
He has a fux leather briefcase.

It has really great detail too!
It looks like something I would have purchased for myself.  I looks that real!
He has a stand.
The base is frosted.  Some of the newer bases are clear.

 Complete doll package!

I wanted to show you the old face compared to the new.  I included these shots too.
The biggest difference is the neck and how it fits on the body.
It isn't flat and the new head can pivot.
He has that slim but muscular body that I.T. males are known for.
He tells me he wants to keep his suave look!  That will be a bit
difficult around here because he is taller than Ken and Ken
isn't know for suave clothing.
 Find me something Ms. Leo!
So he will revert back to the name Tariq with the last name Beckford.

My FR Hommes!
Remi, Tariq and Victor
I think Remi likes that shirt!

OK. Thanks For Looking!
