The Family Madrigal!

 Hey Gang!

During the Amazon Prime sale, I purchased the Disney Encanto Ultimate Madrigal Family Dolls Gift Set, which includes 12 Dolls.  

I had all the other dolls except for Abuela, Julieta, and Agustin. Here is the family tree.  I plan to insert some new members.

During the Prime sale, the set was 59.99! That is just $5.00 per doll! I couldn't pass that up! Now I have the three that I didn't own.

I will have these dolls live in St. Malcomb most of the time, but will visit Johnston. Abuela and Juleeta will be turning out wonderful food for the guests of the Chateau.

Abuela looks like my mom!

Agusttin is the Concierge and head of staff at the Chateau at St. Malcolm.

I would love to give them articulated bodies. Hopefully, I can find some.

May Is Disney Month! Encanto Family Doll Gift Set!

Hey Gang!

What I am told is a limited release is the Encanto Family Doll Set!  It contains Pepa, Antonio, Felix, Delores and Camilo! Except for Antonio who was released with the first sisters set and Delores who was released by herself, the other dolls are a new release!

Pepa and Felix are husband and wife and Delores, Camilo, and Antonio are their children.

So this is a nuclear family. 

Pepa is the lightest in complexion.

This doll is a previously released Antonio doll.

They were a little hard cutting all the ties to get them out of the box.

She looks a lot like in the movie. She has a taller body than the rest of the dolls except Luisa.

 She has gray eyes but in the movie, her eyes are dark green!

She has long flat feet.

Antonio, the Jakks version.

I thought it would be interesting to compare Maui to Felix. Maui doesn't come with many clothes while Felix is fully dressed.

Maui is wider and has larger feet and longer arms. So no clothes sharing!

I was told that he has an oval-shaped body, which is hard to dress!

His neck moves from side to side but not up and down. His arm and legs move a little bit but not as much as most dolls do. He won't be able to completely sit or raise his arms over his head.

Doll MyShop made a few outfits for Felix for me.

I'm breaking up the family! Pepa, Delores, Camilo, and the Disney store Antonio are going to St. Malcomb. Felix will be staying in Johnston.

Let's Talk About Bruno!

 Hey Gang!

I know that say "we don't talk about Bruno". I say"Let's Talk About Bruno!" I found him at Walmart for $12.98!  I have some photos from the web and my photos here to show you.

He comes with a hooded poncho and bodysuit shirt and pants. The poncho has a printed on design. He has curly hair and is a coco brown complexion.

His curly hair was to smashed up in the back like many other dolls that I purchased with curly hair.

I am trying to decide if he looks more like Prince or Katt Williams? What do you think?

He has large feet in blue sandals.

The Sandals

He has a large head.  In fact the he heads of the Encanto dolls are larger that most of the Disney dolls done in the past.  Here he is next to Fresh Squad Anthony.  He is shorter and most of his height is his head.

He stands about 11 inches.

One of my male dolls on a larger scale is this My Scene Bryant. So we will use him for scale.

His head is bigger and Bryant's head is larger than Ken.

I thought Bryant had some mitts on him but Bruno's hands are larger with longer fingers.

His feet are larger. So no wearing Ken doll shoes.

I don't have to do a warning because Bruno is wearing underwear!

In compared to Ken and other dolls, Bruno doesn't have the fit body of most male dolls.

He doesn't have much butt and he has a bit of a pudge but after purchasing Broad Ken and Hagrid dolls, I am OK with his pudge.  

I put him in some male doll clothes that I had.  I had to fold under the hem of the pants 

and find a top for his long arms.

When searching for it. none of the Target stores in my area had it and the people selling them online wanted $90 to $200 for it when the item sold for just $20.00. I thought I might have to wait until next for one. There just happen to be one in stock when I was in my local store. I ran out screaming!

It isn't as tall as I would like but it just might need some legs!

The cover makes it seem like there is a photo that comes with the set for the photo frame but there isn't.. You have the opportunity to put your own photo in.

Isabela just loves it and hopes I will make her an Encanto inspired house that will include it!
