The challenge!

Hey Gang!

I want to work on stories with the Laurent family! I have been trying to get
them all articulated to make story telling easier.  Most of them are now on
articulated bodies but one!  Steven!

I have been trying to find an articulated body for my Steven doll.  He is one of
the older versions of Steven with the “Philly Fade” (that was one of the reasons
I purchased him) Splash 'n Color StevenThe older dolls are darker.  The only
doll coming close in complexion is the AA convention male. Yeah, I want him too!

As time when on it seems, Steven got lighter and that is about the
time when Mattel started to make articulated male dolls.
It seems I am going to have a hard time finding him a body
close to his complexion.

Without his shirt, you can see he has one of the older bodies but not the
one with the gift giving arms.

Here is Steve with Darren and Tre.

As you can see he is closer in complexion to Tre' but Tre'
has a swivel neck knob.  The Steven head will not fit.

Darren is much lighter that Steven…
but darker than Toure’ who is on the prince and the pauper body
Prince and Pauper AA doll

So for now he is on a Darrin body until I can find him one closer in
complexion.

I do like the height this body give him.  It makes him look mature but not old.
It works well with how I see his style.  BTW, this is the tux with the pink shirt.
It has be altered.

Ok, Thanks For Looking!

Steven's New Job Part Two!

The Offices Of WJBS

One more thing about Steven. He is a grandma's boy! So
the first person that he want to tell good news to is his
grandmother.

Steven: Hey Grams, guess what?

Camille: Hey Honey! I sure miss you walking with me on
the beach! What is going on? Is one of your sisters getting
married?

Steven can hear the ocean and birds in the background. He knew
his grandmother was at her favorite spot on the beach!
Steven: No Grams! I'm going to tell them what you said. He he!
I just got a promotion!

That is wonderful honey! You have been working soo hard!
I've shown all my friends the program you did on your
grandfather and me. They think it is wonderful too!

Camille: I 'm doing a special treat for your grandfather
for Valentines Day! He will be flying in this weekend. You
might get an extra story out of it ! He he!

Steven: You guys are worse than mom and dad! I love that
you two still love each other after so many years of marriage!
I sure hope I'll have that too!

Camille: I'm sure you will honey! For every pot there is a lid!
A good marriage needs work! If you don't learn anything
else from us learn that!

Steven: I am writing that down right now! In my new position
I will have my own show. It will be a feature. I will get to pick my
own team. I'm asking for Toure' to work with me! I know how
important it is to have people you can trust around you when
you are doing something this big.

Camille:What about the Gallery?

Steven: I won't forget about the Gallery!
I now how important it is to have something of my own! You taught
me that. I am working those details out. I'll talk to you soon Grams!
I've got to get to work. Love you!

Let's see where Toure' is?

Steven thinks to himself: He must be on a shoot. He isn't picking
up! Steven leave him a message. Hey Toure' man, it's your coz.
Give me a call as soon as you can! It is important. Later!

Toure's phone vibrates in his pocket!

Mean while back at Mr. Kingsley's office....
Harold shows up to do some repairs. Harold has repair
contracts all over town.

Harold: Hey Emily, I have your office on my list today!

Emily: That's great! What do I get?

You get a new headset. It is the state of the art... and

Wow! This is fantastic! I can hear the calls and the
visitors!

A mirrored table and lamp! Now it looks even more classy
in here.

Harold: Alrighty, I going to replace the microwave in
the break room! Take care!

Just then... Cabe the parcel guy shows up!
Cabe:Any packages to go Emily?

Emily: No, not today!
Cabe: Is that a new table?
Emily: Yes!
Cabe:Very nice! OK! See you tomorrow.

As Cabe was leaving, Mrs. Kingsley arrived!
Hello Mrs. Kingsley!
Pamela:Hello Cabe!

Hello Emily, is my husband in?

Emily: Yes, but he is on a conference call.
Pamela: I just wait here and chat with you!
Emily and Pamela got to know each other over the phone when
she was dating Brian Kingsley. Pamela worked the desk at the
Villa in St. Malcolm and would call his office at lunchtime.

Emily: So this is your first winter! Are you ready!

Pamela: I hope so! This is my first time seeing the seasons
change too. It is really beautiful.

Pamela: I purchased a coat and boots! I keep hearing about
these long johns? Are they for women too?
Emily: They have them for women too. It has not been as
cold this year so I don't know if you will need them.
Don't forget gloves!

I thought I heard a familiar voice out here!

Hello honey, I was hoping you could join me for lunch?

Brian: Sound wonderful!
Emily, I have a very important lunch meeting! Hold my calls!

They are soo cute!

Old Photos- My Photo Archives From Before My Blog!

Today I looked at some old disc of photos I have taking over
the years. Most of them fall in the three categories.
Plants/gardening (there are more of them than anything
else.) Family and dolls.

I thought I would show you where I began. Not that I
have come such a long way but I lot of times you don't get to
see the beginning of things. When I started purchasing dolls,
I had doll couples but not families. I purchased guys to go
with girls or visa versa. The Laurents were my first family in
dolly land. (Although it was a while before they got their last
name. )

Here is a picture of KiKi with the first Terrence. I always
saw KiKi's husband having a beard.

He is now Terrence's best friend Menelik, the father of Malik.
I wasn't taking photos with much background back then.

Here is one of the first shots I took of the new Terrence and
KiKi as a couple. I have to give this new Steven doll a beard and
some gray hair.

I really like what I did with him and he inspired a family
and my blog.

As you can see, I even restyled them and took more pictures.
To me, they looked soo cute together. I could see the chemistry
in the photos even with the very poor camera back then!

I knew I wanted the Happy Family Grandparents as his family.
I thought he looked like a combination of their looks.

Did you know that grandpa had dimples? He is the cutest
thing! I knew he would be a pilot and I purchased this uniform
for him.

I did remove some of Grandma's wrinkles. I thought they
went a bit overboard with them.

Here is a shot of the Laurent men! Two are missing. LL and Termaine
are missing.

Above: Terrence, Toure' Steven, Tre' Grandpa Stephan and Terrell.
this is the first group photo I did. It was before I learned to change
the lighting! LOL!

This is I character haven't introduced really yet. I guest It is a preview.

Gulf: This is Gulf Blitzer and your in the Situation Room. Earlier today I have an interview with the President and his wife about life in the White house.

President Obama and Michelle: Thank you for having us on your program.
How has live changed for you now that you are in the White House.
President Obama: I use to be able to take a long walk by myself to clear my head.
Gulf: You can still walk can't you? President Obam: Not without Secret Service agents with me.
President Obama: Agents Woo and Dallas are great but it is not the same as by myself!

They come with me when I go for a walk and they are with me when I go for a swim on the beach.
Gulf: What about you Mrs. Obama? Do these agent have to be everywhere you are too?
Michelle Obama: I have my own detail of Secret Service agents most of the time. Just not today because we are together.

Woo: Keep alert! Watch out for the camera man.

Toure': This is really great footage on the President. I hope I get to speak to him afterward.
