The Decorations!

 Hey Gang!

This way ladies!

We are going to sit right over here!

Shiori: Hanna said that we would be doing crafts!

Jade: She also said we would go to lunch after!

Mari: You have coupons for us for helping!

Kay Sin Ae: I do!  We will be working on them for several days and I have several days worth!

Connie: Hi, you must be Kay Sin Ae. I'm Connie great to meet you. Is this your daughter?

Kay Sin Ae: No she is my little sister Hanna!

She is living with me while our mother is working abroad. Her fiends and I will be working on the decorations.

Connie: I want to thank you for working on these. Everything is coming together for the festival.

Kay Sin Ae: Ladies, we will be working on lanterns today. We will paint them.

Here they are! As you can see they are multi color and that won't work.

Kay Sin Ae: We will start these today. We will be working on the rest of the stuff over the next few days.

Kay Sin Ae: So we are going to paint these red!  Many of the decorations we will be making will be red, gold or red and gold.

Connie stands back and observes.

Mari:It's already got hoops for hanging!

Kay Sin Ae: I think we get these done today and maybe move on to some other things!

Connie: OK, this looks like it is going well!  Let's see how things are going at the restaurant!

Chinese New Year! Diorama Drafts!

Hey Gang!

I have been playing around with diorama ideas.  I have been setting things up and
taking test photos to see how it photographs and if I like it.  These are some of
my photos of Pacific Rim Restaurant.  As I take photos, I see what I like in the
way of furniture, dolls, walls floors and nic nacs detail.   FYI, I don't dust
before taking draft photos! This will not be the final restaurant but it give
me ideas.

Akira: I just go over the menus while I wait for Connie.

Connie: You must be Akira!  Hi, I'm Connie.

Akira: Hello Connie. Please have a seat!

I like the wall decorations but they need a little more work to make them like I want.
I used crepe paper as a wainscoting but I thin I need something else.  I do think
it should be black to break up the look of the walls

Akira: I was just going over the new menus while I waited for your.

Connie: WOW!  This place is really coming along.

Akira: Do you think so?  There is still so much to do!

Connie: Oh Yes! ...

I think it is coming along nicely.

Connie: The Asian Business Association would love to have our dinner here.

My thoughts :I got the chairs at thrift stores over time.  I real wanted to use
them here.  The small tables are coaster.  I'm still working that out.

Akira: Well, I need to really get things moving if I hope to do that!

My thoughts :The candles are beads.

My thoughts : I just love my dragon!

Connie: I was surprised and pleased to know that you and your husband

were able to get both businesses up and running on your own.  If you do need

any help know that the Asian Business Association is there to help you.

My thoughts: I am thinking about adding this from an earlier post to the restaurant.

Akira: We will be helping your cousin in opening her market.

Connie: Yes, she told me.  She is very happy about that.  We will be
combining some of the grocery orders for the store and the restaurant to keep
cost down for both of us.

My thoughts: I am hoping to find more things for the etagere.

My thoughts: It is one of my favorite pieces. I got it at the Flower Show.
It starts again the end of this month.

Articulated Disney Mulan Part 2!

Hi Gang!

In my first post on the New Disney’s Mulan doll with the new articulated knees, you will remember that I was unsure of how I felt about the new knee.

New Knee!

In my post on Tiana I showed you the Tiana with the new knees as well as the older Barbie type knee. The older knee doll is reminiscent of the articulated SIS dolls and the Barbie 3 click knee that is more familiar. I purchase a few Mulans with this older knee and I planned to show you how that worked out.

So The Knee!

Here is what the knee looks like under the gown.

My Asian Barbie for President Doll, who I am now calling Connie, decided to help me out with the suggestion of doll that could use this body. One of her suggestion is Top Model Summer. Summer is on an old My Scene doll body with her old body up on the Dollpage.

Connie: Mulan , this is Summer.

Summer, who will now be called Shelly Green, thinks this body would be a good match for her.

Look out world her I come!

I feel like a new woman!

Kieu, who happens to be Connie’s best friend, was near by trying on the Mulan gown and nice Mulan’s nice body.  Kieu the dress and the body would work really well for me too!

Yeah, that gown get more wrinkled with each shot!

I like this purple dress too!  It is very ethereal.  I love the silver details too!

I can really pose now!

I can take my rightful place on this blog!

Are there shoes for this dress?

Kieu joins Summer and Akira in the group photo!

New bodies, New lives!

I got some questions in my last Mulan post about this doll's complexion and my other dolls, so I thought I would answer those too! Does Mulan work well for Bling and Xia?

Why yes she does!

Xia' is still herself but is a little more mature on this body!  Like the difference between 18 and 20.  She is 20.

Even Bling looks different on this body!

The test will be if Bling can still fit in her car!

Xia is so happy she can dance!

This body works well with her face.  I had thought about a Frank Sinatra body but they cost too much!  This will do just fine!

The girls are dancing! Shelly: is this how you do the new dance?  Xia:  Yeah , kinda! Shelly:I can't wait to show my daughter!

Xia: Do I know your daughter?  Shelly: You might!  She is very popular like her mom!
