Dolly Crafting At The Native American Longhouse Settlement!

Hey Gang!

Recently I watch some videos that Martha Stewart did on wreaths and she was my muse for this posting. Unfortunately I could link her video here. Martha isn't sharing like that but I did find
another.

Happy Family Grandma plays double duty in my dolliverse and here she is Martha Stewart.. If you have ever listen to Martha Stewart, you know that she has a distinct voice. So I ask you
to imagine her voice as Happy Family Grandma.  Martha has come to and asked Loraine to show us how she makes holiday crafts from pine cones.

Martha: On this segment we traveled to Pennsylvania to make pine cone wreaths!
We are in the kitchen of the Native American Longhouse Settlement to meet with artist Loraine Running Bear!
Loraine runs her company Spirit for her home here.  She is widely know for her pottery!
This is one of her pottery here!
We are here in her wonderful longhouse kitchen ...
to have show us one of the other things she has become famous for.
Loraine makes beautiful pine cone crafts!
Martha: You have beautiful pine cones here!

Loraine: Thank you! The settlement sits on over 1200 acres and we have many different varieties of evergreens
.
Martha: You have recently be able to move here?
Loraine: Yes, there was a 15 year law suit to get back our land here and it was only recently settled.
Since moving back, I have been able to enjoy the land and discover it beauty and bounty.
The wonderful pine cones here are great for all kinds of arrangements and crafts. I walk the grounds
with my basket and collect them for my projects! This time of year they are plentiful.
Martha: Well, that is a good thing!

If you would like to make your own pine cone crafts, here is one video to show you how!

Disney Month!

Hey Gang! Update!

I wanted to make my next 30 days a review of my Disney dolls and
some thoughts on Disney.

First, I will share with you my latest purchase, Beauty and the Beast
Bell Emma Watson doll I purchased at Walmart for 8.88! I have heard
from some that they are more but I was glad to get mine for that price

Promo in box photos

Not a bad likeness and much better and cheaper than Disney Store doll! I linked
a comparison photo for your review!

Doll in outfit!
I believe the Disney Store doll is articulated at $35.
As you might have guessed, I got her home and rebodied her! But I will show
you her old body too.

I found a MTM purple top at Jomar's for 8.00 and had it waiting for a head. I thought
is was not a bad complexion match but that is just my opinion.

As you can see her feet are bigger than MTM doll and most Barbie dolls.
Here they are showing their feet.
I put here in her original outfit so you can see the MTM in the outfit.  I does close
so well in the back.
The shoes are swimming on her feet.
The original body is like a cross between a Star doll body and the short Fashion
Fever body with a petite Barbie waist.
I think Emma Watson looks like Twiggy! Especially since she has grown up!

So I put her in something 60's inspired.
I think I'll call her Celine
Here she is with my other Bell dolls!
I just wanted to add a few photos from Facebook!

Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hi Gang!

Some of my dolls will do double duty on my blog!  One of them is my
Happy Family Grandmother.  I have removed some of her wrinkles and
lightened her lip color.  She almost looks like Barbara Streisand.  She
is playing Martha Steward though. That will be one of her roles.  Martha has
a very unique voice, so you will have to use your imagination!

Martha: Hello!  Christmas time is one of my favorite times of the year.

I just love decorating Christmas trees.  I want to show you one of them.

If you like my ornaments you can purchase them from Kmart.
The is a hand knit Martha sweater available at Kmart too!  Do you want to look like me!
Aw, don't you just love my frosty the snowman.  What tree wouldn't have a
candy cane.
Lovely white balls will add brightness to your tree.
This nutcracker is made in the German style.
Do you remember It's A Wonderful Life? Every time a bell rings an angel gets their wings!
No tree is complete without a star or an angel.  I will put a star on this tree.
I just love this little kitty and ...
 this lovely red horn.
My things are so nice that they just can't be marked down after Christmas.
They will still be full price.  So keep me rolling in money and buy
my ornaments at Kmart!
