Raquelle! The New Asian Barbie?

Hey Gang,
The talk is that Raquelle is the new Asian Barbie.  I have purchase a few versions her but didn't know she was Asian until I read in on the web! So, I'm not Asian so I not going to assume I know what all Asians look like.  I will ask the question would you have know if you weren't told?

I started to purchast this one but I realized I only like the dress and that wasn't reason enough to buy another Raquelle.  I am not so impressed with the whole dog thing!  The dog isn't cute in my opinion.

Here is the first Raquelle Fashionista and the new Pet Fashionista in a side-by-side shot. Would you think either were Asian? I purchased the one in the pink and have her on a Rosie O"Donnell body and I just love her that way! Raquelle also is the palest of the Fashionista so I have used her body as a donor for some of my paler dolls like Sydney, Siobhan and Loralie.

Here is the second version and the new Pet Fashionista.  I like the second version's face but not the outfit.

Finally, Barbie for President Doll!  To me, she looks the closest to looking  Asian.  I wouldn't say she is not a fashionista because she doesn't have legs that bend because neither does the new Ryan!  Also Raquelle is not included in any of the other playline except Fashionista and this Barbie for President.

Fun Date Ken!

So gang, Mattel has come out with Fun Date Ken! As I said, when I first saw him I said to myself …WTF! Mattel has lost its’ mind! The women at the check asked me if Ken had come out of the closet. As I looked at him I saw possibilities and I purchased him. So here are some photos for you.

He comes dressed in a blue shirt and black pants plus a plaid shirt and a white graphic tee along with the three wigs. No articulation. Sigh! And Mattel used to give you three outfits.  Now they give you 1 1/2 or 2 1/2 outfits in the space for 3 outfits pack. Bad Mattel!  I posted some photos of KiKi in the  /Fun date Ken’s wig. If you missed it check it out here!

When I thought about what Ken has gone over the last few years to get back with Barbie, it seems kinda sad! He has resorted to wigs to make himself interesting for Barbie! How bad is the relationship when as a man, you have to breakout the wigs! Mmmm, Mmmm! Ken it is time to move on to some other plastic woman who can appreciate a sensitive man like you! LOL! It might be time to date one of her friends.

Anyway, here is what he looks like without any of the wigs! A lot more masculine!

He kind of looks like Brad Pitt from the Oceans films.  Not a bad face!  But I have way too many Blondes around here!  But there is one thing I am short on.

A little paint and now he is gray!

I don’t have many men with gray hair here so I was happy that I tried it.

I haven’t sealed it yet.  I wanted to give it a few days so that I could live with it and see what I thought.

What do you think!  I’m calling him Crosby Anderson.

I just got one of grail items that I talked about in My Mass Blogger Interview! An Integrity Male …Back To Brooklyn Remi! WOW! I haven’t purchased a new Integrity Toy Doll since I purchased the Adora ancient legends queen doll. I am soo pleased with this doll! I am taking the time to enjoy him in the box for a day or two. That how I know he is nice. I never make it to the parking lot of the toy store with most dolls. The box and setup are Very Nice! He is going to start a lot of trouble around here!  He will be with my college crew. I do think I will get another male soon! I wonder how well he fits Ken clothing. I guess I will find out!
