Finally! The Look #4 Ken Has Arrived!

 Hey Gang!

I was so excited when this doll came our!  I know I wanted 3 of them but didn't what to get to caught up in the hype. So I only ordered one--#4! Black males are the rarest and may only turn up in stores on a limited basis. I ordered him on May 28th. The delivery was postponed 3 time!  On Friday I got a notice that it was shipping.  He finally came on Saturday-Hey!

My Doll

So my doll is on a scale from 1-10 quality control wise is pretty good. I have heard some have had issues. The eyes are good but maybe not my photography! The  hair (I haven't taken out the pony) is good, and the clothes are in good shape!

I am glad I ordered him. And when with the delays, they asked me did I want to cancel, I said no!

The face is a mature face and not the younger face seen in most Ken dolls. When I first saw the doll on line I thought he might be using the Classic Cool #10 headsculpt but he is a new sculpt and some are calling it Jon. The head is smaller the the heads of Fashionista Ken dolls.

The are some bags at the eye that help give the mature look and indentation( smile lines at the cheek.

The only small issue on my doll is that a little hair is missing from the bottom of his hairline.

I did some comparing with the who uses the Classic Cool headsculpt.

Faceoff Looks #4 and Fashionista #130

They look like brothers or Father and son with #130 being the younger bother/son and still having a more youthful face! What do you think- father/son- older/younger brother?

Cheeks are as pronounced with #130 and face looks chubbier. The #4 has a longer chin.

I purchased some action figure bodies that I was planning to use on some of my darker Ken dolls.

Since #4 has such a mature face, let look at him on a mature and muscular body!

He looks commanding on this body! Like he would take no crap!

I thought about trying the Fresh Squad Anthony body but it isn't as dark and has a red undertone!

So, it is time for some dolly play for me!  I will be trying on fashion on him the the next few weeks

Two New Asian Dolls--Curvy Body Olympic 2020 skateboarder and Fashionistas Doll #160 Barbie!

 Hey Gang!

I saw this lovely girl and knew I had to have her!  I found her in Target.

I love her hair color too! It is a sandy blonde!

She has a curvy articulated body but not the one that is used on the made to move dolls.  

I find it surprising!

With all the poses in the promo photos you would think she would have a MTM body.

She comes with everything you see here.  Orange top,black jeans, pink sneakers, helmet, knee and wrist/arm pads.

She doesn't have a made to move body.  She has this type of articulated body which I found surprising. I would have thought they would have give her the MTM body to be able to do all of the skateboard moves. I will have to move the head to a new body.

She has what Kattis dolls calls the Alec face sculpt.

I purchase here because she has a different face sculpt that I have seen on an Asian doll!

This is a really cute dress and the white sneak will be useful.

I wish all the fashionistas came on a made to move body! Now I need to find her a new body.

Video Of The Month! Something for Roscoe!

 Hey Gang!  

This month Video of the month features something for Roscoe!  

He has a great face with a lot of character! So Roscoe will will  a character or cutup around here!

Roscoe: That's right! Bald is beautiful baby!

Roscoe is a GI Joe Roadblock Action figure Hybrid.

My figure is has been placed on a Joe body that doesn't have the painted on orange top.

He needed a business. He will own a gun range.  He has a contract with the military and the police force for them to come to practice at his range. Also anyone purchasing a gun licence must spend some time at the range and get certified.  Roscoe does that at his range. This will keep him in business for a long while.

Becoming Queenie Jenkins!

 Hey Gang!

Granny Queenie and her great granddaughter LaToya are having lunch in the park!

Queenie looks up at the sunshine thinks to herself "look at the day the lord has made!"  

Just then a handsome young man walks by.  Malik: Good afternoon Queen! How are you this fine day?

Queenie: Just fine young man and you?

Malik: I am well Queen!  Enjoy the rest of the day and don't forget to hydrate!

Queen thinks to herself "If I were fifty years younger..."'

LaToya: Did you know him Granny?

Queenie: No honey, I don't know him.

LaToya: But he knows your name! He called you Queen!

Queenie: Oh honey, it just a term of endearment!

LaToya: A what?

Queenie: A nickname or a pet name!  He probably calls all women or all women my age Queen.

LaToya: Oh! Well I have our lunch!  That food cart is great!

The eat their meals.

Queenie: Well that hit the spot!

LaToya: I wonder if she has ice cream today!

LaToya: She makes the best ice cream! At least it is the best I have had!

Queenie: The best ice cream I have ever had was at this Church up the road for the town I grew up in! She smiles as she thinks about the ice cream.

LaToya: Really? Like... you have been around for a long time! It was the best in all your years?

Queenie: I'm 95 years young and it was the best I have had!  Those old church sisters could cook! They churned the ice cream by hand in the kitchen of the church! Oh, and fried chicken!

LaToya: They didn't get if from the store?

Queenie: Honey, ice cream in the store ...ice in general is a modern thing! We had and ice box and not a refrigerator when I was a child. And we were considered well off!  A man came and we bought a block of ice and put it in the ice box to keep things cold. Those church women used real cream from the top of the milk to make the ice cream.

LaToya: WOW!

Queenie: It tasted sooo much better than anything you can get from the store!

Queenie: You better catch her before she leaves!

Granny Queen!

I have had the idea for Granny Queen for a while. It is her job to keep the family together and grounded. She lives with her granddaughter and her great granddaughter!  She also spends time with other granddaughters too. She augments her retirement by tutoring and hand-knitting sweaters that her granddaughter sells them online for her.

How she started! This was a thrift store doll that didn't sell! She has been sitting around for a few years!

She said that she wanted to be Queenie. So...
