An Unusually Warm Day For Fall! Part One

Hey Gang!

It is an unusually warm day for Fall. It is in the mid 60's. Apenimon arrives and picks
out the spot for them to rest and do come training!

Apenimon:  This looks like a good spot!
 Apenimon: Boys!  Over here!
Two Feathers: This is a nice place!
Two Feathers: I really love living here!
Avery: Good dog!
 You really ran fast!
Avery: This is a beautiful place and a beautiful day to be so close to the beginning
of winter!
I guess this is what they call Indian Summer.
Apenimon: I don't care for that phase!  It implies that there is something false about Native Americans! It not a real summer or a true summer.  It is an Indian summer.
I'm sorry... I didn't know! I just alway heard it said.

It is like the phase Indian Giver. It implies a falseness about our people!
The settlers started using the phase even though there were other term in their
language for this type of weather.  Somehow the phase stuck and became
common.
I won't say it ever again!
Two Feathers thinks to himself...WOW!  I didn't know that! I have heard it said alot too!
The dogs all love this spot too!  They like their new home and that they have
so much room to run!
Amaguq
Butchy
Near Wolf
Lassie
Rexa thinks she found something interesting!
Smells like... a pine cone
After about an hour, it is time to head back!
Apenimon: OK, guys it's time to head back!
Apenimon: All dogs to the jeep! He gives two quick whistles and one long one!
The dogs start for the car!
Apenimon: That's right I need some wood for projects!
They all head for the jeep!

OK, Thanks for Looking!

Me and the Post Office! There is no fairy in this tale!

Hey Gang!

I have been selling a lot more things on Facebook, which is good.  I have also had
more interaction with the post office, which can have problems!

If you do a good amount of shipping and are shipping larger or a larger amount of
items, you might consider Regional Flat rate boxes!  For example, I was shipping
12 dolls and clothing with shoes to someone in Louisiania.  A Flat Rate Priory
regular box (13-5/8" x 11-7/8" x 3-3/8")done on line is 11.30. A Regional Flat Rate
A2 box (;12-13/16" x 10-15/16" x 2-3/8") which also ships priority is only 8.26 form Phila.

So that is a big difference right!  Now try to find the boxes!  The Post Office doesn't
carry them! Why, I don't know!  So I called their 800 number to see if there was
some place locally I could get one.  They said go to the Post Office.  I told them I
have been to three in my area and they don't have them.  Then they said go to Staples.

Hmmm... Staples has better operating hours than the PO.  That might be an option.
They say you can get stamps and mail packages there.  I don't think you can do
money orders but I don't know. They didn't have the Regional Rate boxes either.  They didn't
have the medium size flat rate boxes.  They have a hard time getting supplies from the PO
themselves!

I was able to order them on line.  They should arrive in 7-10 days. I am crossing
my fingers.  I have a PO account but I can't figure out how to print the Regional Rate box
label.  I still might have to take it to the PO to get the shipping part done.   I'll let
you know how that goes.

BTW, keep an eye on any packages you mail this season.  I have had packages
sent to the wrong place and Priority packages not delivered on time!

He Has Arrived! Iron Knife!

Hey Gang!

My Iron knife Valor vs Venom arrived and I am please with him
for the most part!  He has a great head-sculpt and a lot of cool accessories!

The head

He has a great face with plenty of character!  I love his face and even his
sculpted hair.  You know, you don't always feel like mess with a dolls hair
to get the photo just right. Having dolls or action figure that do require work
for a photo is nice from time to time.  His head scarf comes off which is a plus.
I have seen some doll and action figures where it was painted on. I can even
use it for other dolls.

His eyes are painted well.  I purchase a GI Joe Heavy Duty (Adewale Akinnuoye
Agbaje) and his eyes were kinda crossed because of where the white dot of the
eye was place.

That was unusual for a Joe.

He has a black one piece cloth outfit that Velcro in the back.  It might lend itself for
other uses…. we will see.  The gun is really long!  I mean really long and kinda old
fashion in the way it looks.  I probably will sell it.

I have a ton of action figure weapons around here but we will see on that too. His
gauntlets aren’t painted on but are attached to his arm.  They float around it not
quite turning all the way around. I think I can cut the off and won’t have to rebody
him.

I still might want him on a taller body later on but his body will do for now.
The gauntlets are there to hold the eagle on.  The eagle “Freedom is the best
thing that comes with this action figure!

With a brown body and a white head with a gold beak, Freedom is pretty cool!

There is some kind of wire in his wings so his wings can be posed.

There is great detail on the feathers of his wings too.  I think you would see it more
if his wings weren’t a solid brown.  Freedom could benefit from a few with and gray
feathers.

So with a name like Iron Knife, you would expect that he would have a great knife
and he does!

This bad boy really looks like it could do some damage!  There is a brown suede
looking scabbard for his big knife.

He will be rocking the knife if I have anything so say about it. The boots and
knee pads are made well.

I can see them working into a story or two.  I give Iron Knife a 9.5 on the doll/action
figure scale!

In is story here, he is part Navajo and Apache. He will keep Iron knife as his
last name. His first name is Ahiga.  It is Apache for he fights.  I saw this
action figure OOAK as an  Apache on the web.  I liked the outfit and might try
to make it.

Last Purchase for 2015!

Hey Gang!

I think it fitting that my last purchase of 2015 which falls on the last day
of November be a Native American addition to my collection!  With that
being said, I purchase a GI Joe Valor vs Venom Iron Knife.   I have wanted
him for a while but he was kinda pricey for a Joe.  I final found one in my
price range.  Also, I have been getting rid of dolls and action figures
I didn't need or want and have been able to do so.  So with there being some
room around here, I made my purchase.  He wouldn't be here until Dec. 7th.
I will post some pictures then.

Here is stock photo from GI Joe!

I am hoping I won't have to re-body him.  From what I read, the uniform is cloth.
I am also hoping that the gauntlets are removable.  If not, I have some extra Joe
bodies somewhere.

OK, Thanks For Looking!

My New Purchases!

Hey Gang!

So I've got some new things!  I will show you two of them for right now. I have
the new AA Fashionista Ken and Fancy Flowers Fashionista! To excited about
these two to take pictures of them in there boxes!  Do you care about pictures in
their boxes?  Well, I re-bodied both and worked on her look before I thought
about taking pictures for this shoot.  In the future I will use these trunks for guys
for intro shoots. I'll figured something out for the girls.

AA Fashionista Ken and Fancy Flowers Fashionista!
 Close-up on their faces!

Fancy Flowers Fashionista

Fancy Flowers Fashionista, aka, Cora is on a Chandra body!

I didn't like her earrings, they were blue, so I change them to gold.
I didn't like the blue shoes either.  I think these are better!
They work better with the dress.
She is happier with her look!
She does have a great face!
From pictures I thought she looked like an older version of
Barbie but she doesn't.

She has the Stephen Burrows Barbie
Pazette head-sculpt.
She does have the older than teen age look that
the other doll has.  I would say twenty three to twenty five.

The SIS dolls do have a younger look!  Maybe that is the paint of the face.

The do look like they could be friends.

AA Fashionista Ken

I re-bodied him on a Fashionista Ken articulated body! Yes, he is that light that
I didn't need an AA body for him at least his face is.  His original body is a little
darker that his head.

I'm not a fan of this outfit. I would say it was a look for an older man but
older men might be offended.
The neck knob is different!  Flatter than the original Fashionista Ken knob! I think
it makes the head fit a tad higher on the old fashionista body.
So here is a head to head comparison of the original Darren head to the new Fashionista
Ken head!
On the new doll, the eyes are a little larger, the smile, you can't tell from the photo, is
a little bigger too! The brows are darker and shorter.  Darrin's eyebrows are lighter in
contrast to his complexion and they have a bigger arch which extend back farther!

He doesn't have a name yet but he is KiK's sister's son.
