Going To The Wedding.

The Johnsons & The Holmes' Are Going To The Wedding!

Etienne and Matt know Rod from military trainings they went to.

They are coming to the wedding of Rod and Danielle and are bringing
their wives with them. Now that Matt is married, he thinks that everyone
should be married.  They couldn't make the bachelor party but they won't
miss the wedding!

The wives look forward to the ceremony like most women do.
Tia: This will be our first time out as a couple!

Tia: I can't wait to see her dress!

Renee: Your wedding dress was soo lovely! Your mantilla was
the crowning touch!

Tia: Thank you!  It has been in my family for generations.
I hoping my sister will wear it too!
I can never thank you for all your help with my wedding!
I don’t know what would have happened if I didn’t have you to help
me with everything.

Renee’: We military wives have to stick together!

Matt feels pride as he introduces his bride!  Matt: This is my wife Tia.

Renee’: Look at them! Young love. How sweet. Etienne, do you
remember when we were like that!

Etienne: We can be like that tonight!

The Couples Together!

Renee': Military men can be a handful when off and out!   That is why
the job of MPs is soo hard!  Tonight, we'll have to be the MPs!

Like I said, the women like the ceremony and the husbands look
forward to the reception!

Matt: Here is to the Pappy Couple!

Matt: E, man, you're drunk! ...  Gona party like it's your birthday!
Hey E, do the Hammer!

Tia: Oh my!
Renee': They are even worse at  Military fuctions!

Renee': You are both cut off and we're going home!

Another I Can Be...Violinist!

I found the ” I can be…” violinist set at my local Wal-Mart. It was
a better price than at the TRU store, so I purchased it.
So, let's really take a look at it!  Here is what is comes with:

Shoes-grey/silver
A violin...with the name Barbie on it! (boo, boo, boo)
And the dress itself!  Ms. D agreed to be our model again.
The dress is nothing special in my mind but some
people might like it.
Ms. D. will play you all a little tune.
Ms. D: I really can't play. I'm just modeling this thing.

This dress is just a little better than that astronaut outfit!   It is nothing you
would ever really catch me wearing anywhere.  I tell you that Mattel!

Even knock off companies are doing better clothing.  I might have to write them.

I really purchase this for the violin. I can't believe that they put Barbie on it
that large!  I have two barbie size violins but I need at least one more.

Let me show you my other violins in my collection.

I have the one I got when I puchased this set years ago and I also have
one from when I puchased a MGA Entertainment Moxie Girlz "Be True!
Be You" Rock Star 2 School Star.  I think I got it last fall.

So let's compare the violins!

Moxie, older Barbie and new I can be...,
All are about the same size but the real difference is in the quality.

You can't really tell from the picture but the Moxie violin has
painted on strings on the violin. The bow is casted as one piece with
the strings painted beige. The newer I can be... violin is the same as the
Moxie, it has painted on strings. The older Mattel has real strings on the
violin and the bow!

Bow

The Back

Only the older Mattel violin has a back to the violin.

Adventures of Sydney with a Y!

Hey Gang!

Have you ever had a story come together for a character so easily that you knew
it was fate? This story for Sydney was like that! The tent that I had for a while, and it
seems to say Sydney!
Sydney is a member of the Green Youth Corp. It is headed by
Dr Running Bear. Once a month, area youth go out and monitor
the environmental quality of open areas in Johnston. Sydney
takes it very seriously. She hopes one day her friends will join
her in this! She likes to camp out and does her observation
over a weekend. She checks in several times during her weekend.
Hey Sydney! Are you out there? Over!

Sydney here! I’ll be here a while. I call back to camp out at 2.00pm. Over!

I’ll look for your call at 2:00! If the Chief doesn’t hear from her at the
appointed times, he goes out looking for her. He knows she is a good
camper, and she likes to do this her way, but he does keep an eye on her.
He hopes to pair her with some new volunteers this season.

She gives the area a good look over and sets up her tent!
She reviews what she wrote last time.

Awww.  The nesting pair is back again this year.
Last year, they had four babies, but only two made it to the
end of the nesting period.
She hopes for a better year for them.

She checks the water quality and will send samples
to be analyzed.

She has to keep her eyes open when she is there, too! There is number 572 gator.
He is young, but he could do damage to someone who is not paying attention.

Shoo you! Beat it! No Sydney sandwich today! Keep it moving before I
Think about using you in my shoe collection!

Sydney to the Chief. Over!
Yes Sydney! How is everything going? You OK? Over.

I’m fine, but BooBoo the camel has escaped from the Zoo
again. Laugh! Over!
I’ll phone the Zoo and let them know! Laugh! That BooBoo is a Houdini. Over.

Sydney finishes her report as the sun goes down.

THANKS FOR LOOKING!

New Doll!

I received a head in trade from Tracy of Dolls and the City. It is a
doll that I wanted for a while now. So, I can cross another off my list!
Thanks Tracy!!! The head I receive was of the Mystery Squad Kenzie.
If you would like to see the rest of the dolls in the squad minus Barbie
click here. For Barbie click here.  So, I think she is leaving
Doll and the City and joining us here in Johnston but wait until
you read it on Tracy's blog to know for sure.

The Kenzie doll was one of the few times that the Lea head sculpt
was used for a non asian doll. I think that using the lea face made her
the most interesting of the bunch. Her kinky/curly hair made her not
a favorite of doll collectors (web talk) but I always loved
it about her.

I have seen her on her original body which is a teen skipper with
poseable arms (like used for the smaller Generation Girl dolls)
and I have seen her on the Liv doll body which I thought was
interesting.  I had intended to put her on a Liv body but when
she arrived she told me something different.  She is on a
Fashionista Rachelle body which has the pink undertones of
Kenzie's complexion.  On this body she seems stronger and
self-assured
I will have to add some styling lotion to her hair.  It looks a little
dry.

She love her hair and would change it for the world!

I think she likes shoe but doesn't like to wear them much. She is a
back to nature kind of girl and he does eat meat.  She has strong
opinions about things.  She is keeping the name Sydney but with a
different spelling!

My Problems With the Update!

:(

Hey Gang,
Here is the feedback I sent to Google about the blogger update!  I think
we all need to send them our feedback on a product that we use this much.

So here is what I said:

I didn't attach this to a post because I didn't want to mess anything up! This is
very BAD! I really like the old way much better!!!!

1. Like Vanessa, I think that there's no way to subscribe to a site and get
emails because of the blogger change. I just have to  go back
and check for the reply. Subscribing can only happen with the
embedded subscribe now.  I too am missing out on quite
a few responses from people.

2. I almost don't like posting with the new setup. The pictures jump all
around when posting. I have to move pictures to the left which is a
 pain,

3. I don't get a scroll bar when posting in compose. It comes
up in Html. What is up with that!!!! I have to move the cursor
which make the pictures jump or dissappear. :(

4. Real big problems when you try to change the order of pictures. If
you try to drag them you get big problems with text. So I go to html
to do it but it is much harder not with all the codes now. I feel like
I need to be a programer.

5. No spell check !!!! The ABC is to cross out things not spell check!

6. Things move soo slowly! Oh, don't try to preview. You might as well
go make yourself some tea and come back!  Soo slow1

7. Things in stats don't update quickly either.

Fix all that stuff and...

If you are going to update, make things more writer and picture friendly!

That is what I told them!
Please post any problems or solutions you have found!

Outfits For Little Ones!

Crochet Items!

Vanessa of Fashion Dolls of Van’s Doll Treasures had “suggested”
that I use a smaller crochet hood to make some doll things.
I finally got around to following up on that!

So Vanessa... here are the items I made! This outfit reminds me
of an Easter ensemble. I have Meadow modeling this outfit.
Doesn’t she look sweet!

Next is....

This baby doesn’t have a name or family yet. She is modeling this
dress, diaper cover and blanket.
I love the diaper cover!
We have to keep you warm!
I think I'll try boy items next.

I might have to put these items on Esty.

Thanks for looking!
