Checking Your Stats! 10 Questions On Stats.

Trying To Get A Feel For Stats!
I am asking these questions of my fellow bloggers.
Please take the time to answer!

1. Have you notice that blogspot has added your
stats to the Dashboard?

2. Have you checked your stats lately?

3. What do you think when you do check them?

4. What post got the highest stats?

5. Are your post influenced by stats?

6. What other board that you go on let you check
your stats?

7.Do you wish that Flickr would let you check you
stats for free?

8. What other information from you stats would
you like?

9. What is more important stats or comments?

10. Do you want to keep the stats tab or would you
like something else there?

Oh look! I can leave a comment. I'm using a different, computer that's why. :) Now to may answers...

1. I noticed only after reading your blog, this entry.

2. I just checked my stats. I'm using a different stat tool and I don't think the results tally. I'm still new to Blogger stats so I can't really be sure. It looks all new to me.

3. I usually think, "So this is what they want to read. I think should do more entries like that." But I think more and act less. :)

4. According to blogger and my other stat tool, it's the Barbie Dress Pattern entry. They do differ on the 2nd most popular page.

5. Not really. I haven't posted any new pattern for a while.

6. Statcounter.com

7. That would be nice but I don't feel any strong need. What i want is to include old photos in my popular photo list.

8. I would like to know how long a visitor stayed on a page (to read). Maybe they just browsed it and quickly left (because it wasn't what they expected), not getting the point I want to relay. My visit to my own site should also not be counted.

9. Both are important as both give info the other doesn't. It's like comparing apples and oranges. I like mangoes. :)

10. It doesn't bother me right now and I can't think of any new tool I could use.

Thanks Niel Camhalla for being the first to reply. Your answers were thoughtful!! I too have recently noticed it. I too am still figuring it out. For me the day stats change a 8:00pm. Anyone who come after that is on the next day! I am on the east coast, so I don't know what time zone that is?

I am limited my Flickr photos to 200. I don't want to pay for the next step up yet. At the next step, stats are free.

1. Not till I read your post. Thanks for posting about this topic.

2. I do all the time.

3. I like to see what dolls people enjoy collecting.

4. Barbie Basic Red Collection followed by the Basic Basic Collection, then Moxie Girls - Snow White and Rapunzel.

5. In a way, I believe so since I try to find dolls that people enjoy collecting and finding more information about.

6.I also use Stat Counter.

7. Yes

8. Not sure.

9. Both are important. Since I am a technology educator, I can use the stats in my blog to show the 4th grade students different types of data and graphs. Also about how your blog and what you write is seen by many people around the world.
I like comments too because I continue to learn about dolls from fellow doll collectors.

10. Stats are okay, wouldn't know what else to put there.

Thanks, Frannie. I like both comments and stats too. I have learned so much from comments. I wish more people would comment. It is great to know that besides enjoying the info from you blog that you are able to use it to teach! Any way you can reach students is always a good thing!

Thanks D7ana. You know, when I go to my stats, I am suprised at what gets the most views. Some post that got a lot of views didn't get any comments and some post that got lots of comments was only viewed by the people who commented. When you look at the time of the stats(day), you can tell when people view. I get the most views at 3:00 am, 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm. I do agree with Niel, you can't tell how long they stay on. Also, a lot of my view come from people who come from your site first. So... Thanks!

Aw, you're welcome, Ms. Leo! Playscale collectors enjoy interesting posts ;-D Great to share, hmmm?

I understand the surprise about which posts get the most views. I think Sitemeter might have information about how long viewers are on a web page. I'll have to check though.
