2024 The Looks AA Ken #25!

I just received my The Looks AA Ken 2024 yesterday!

He wears a neon yellow shirt with periwinkle pants and silver low-top boots.

I was hoping for a new complexion.  I was hoping for something closer to the 80's Steve's complexion. I have a lot of males that have that complexion that needs articulated bodies.

#25 compared to #4!

As you can see, it is an easy head swap!

He also works well with Fashionista #130.

And with Fashionista #153 who was originally on a broad body.

I feel like myself but better!

On The Craft Table! Head Swaps!

 Hey Gang!

I''ve finished my first projects from the craft table and am moving on to more projects.  Stating with a few more head swaps.

AA Fashionista Ken #130

AA Fashionista Ken #130 who looks similar to AA Fashionista Ken Classic Cool. 

Where there are a few articulated bodies out ther close to Classic Cool's complexion there aren't any bodies by Mattel that are articulated close to #130 complexion. So I had to order a IT 1.0 Nubian skin tone articulated body for him.

I saw a few post on FB that they rebodied Fashionista Ken #130  with the Nubian body and it seemed to be a good match.  Once I got the body, I cand see that it is.  

He is taller but the body really works. I used differnt pants because loner legs need longer shorts.

Close up! He makes a great college age guy.

I found a Ginny Weasley for $9.99 nude! What I wanted was the head and not the girl Harry Potter doll body, so that worked.

Harry Potter girl doll body. I nver new why they used that body and not a body that they already had in production.

Ginny is anothe canidate for a Clara 4 Realms body! Here she is on that body. I think she looks better and can interact with Skipper size dolls without looking wierd. She might get a new hairstyle.

It time to work on at least one of the heads that I got from AliExpress!

I found a Disney male body in a box of dolls at a flea market. The owner gave a good price because she couldn't find the head.

It isn't the best match but it will do. I am thinking about changing the eyebrow and the scruf on the chin.

I also found a older Skipper Babysitters Inc. doll in that box.

I think she is this one.

She is not the right tone for a Clara Four Realms body. I rebodied her on a Creable World Asian doll body.  The Creable World body give her articulation.

Finally! The Look #4 Ken Has Arrived!

 Hey Gang!

I was so excited when this doll came our!  I know I wanted 3 of them but didn't what to get to caught up in the hype. So I only ordered one--#4! Black males are the rarest and may only turn up in stores on a limited basis. I ordered him on May 28th. The delivery was postponed 3 time!  On Friday I got a notice that it was shipping.  He finally came on Saturday-Hey!

My Doll

So my doll is on a scale from 1-10 quality control wise is pretty good. I have heard some have had issues. The eyes are good but maybe not my photography! The  hair (I haven't taken out the pony) is good, and the clothes are in good shape!

I am glad I ordered him. And when with the delays, they asked me did I want to cancel, I said no!

The face is a mature face and not the younger face seen in most Ken dolls. When I first saw the doll on line I thought he might be using the Classic Cool #10 headsculpt but he is a new sculpt and some are calling it Jon. The head is smaller the the heads of Fashionista Ken dolls.

The are some bags at the eye that help give the mature look and indentation( smile lines at the cheek.

The only small issue on my doll is that a little hair is missing from the bottom of his hairline.

I did some comparing with the who uses the Classic Cool headsculpt.

Faceoff Looks #4 and Fashionista #130

They look like brothers or Father and son with #130 being the younger bother/son and still having a more youthful face! What do you think- father/son- older/younger brother?

Cheeks are as pronounced with #130 and face looks chubbier. The #4 has a longer chin.

Warning Nude Doll!

I purchased some action figure bodies that I was planning to use on some of my darker Ken dolls.

Since #4 has such a mature face, let look at him on a mature and muscular body!

He looks commanding on this body! Like he would take no crap!

I thought about trying the Fresh Squad Anthony body but it isn't as dark and has a red undertone!

So, it is time for some dolly play for me!  I will be trying on fashion on him the the next few weeks

Hey Gang!

The dolls from Fresh Squad have arrive! 

Anthony, Malik and Daniel! There is a swagger to these guys! They were a really great purchase. These dolls are really handsome! 

MaIik is the true Urban King! really love Malik's hair! It is really full!

He comes with the most! He has a jacket, plaid shirt,short sleeve white shirt, jeans and read sneakers.

All dolls come with a laptop, glasses and phone.

Jacket removed, plaid shirt.

White shirt which is slightly stretchy. 

All the doll are bulkier than Ken. There was some time spent in the gym.

Malik's chest compared to Texas Cheerleader chest.

Malik's body is mature... too mature for some of the young looking Fashionista Ken dolls.

I thought about switching the bodies on these two but Malik will keep his body.

Anthony with his bald head is quite suave!

He wears a red jacket.

He looks ready for the club!  I think I need to pierce his ears. He seems to be an accessories kind of guy!

The shirt surprisingly doesn't have Velcro closure.

The neck knob is easier to deal with than Ken dolls but still, be careful.

Maybe JB with alterations.

Might work with alterations for Brad or Curtis.

Menelik was the wrong complexions.

I was hoping he could be a body donor for some of my older Steven/AA Ken dolls but no! Those dolls are to light.

Next up is Daniel!

I was able to take a picture of him in the box. That is rare for me!

Here he is in his jacket on out of the box.

The camo jacket is a great detail!  

With the jacket off, he had a long sleeve shirt with a placket on the front. It is the same material as the short sleeve shirt on Malik.

I purchase two Daniels because I new he would make a good body donor from post that I have seen on FB.  Here is on Daniel on a Prince and the Pauper Dominique doll body.  You might notice that the doll on the right has more hair than the other.

Here is Twilight New Moon Jacob on a Daniel body.

You can see the other clothes easily, but let's look at the pants!  Malik wears jeans. They are pretty basic.

The pants for Anthony and Daniel are similar in construction but the color and the fabric are different!

Daniel's pants are khaki and Anthony's pants are black.  Also Anthony's pants are stretchy which means they could be used for bigger doll than Anthony.
