Elizabeth Taylor!

 Hey Gang!

Today is her birthday-- Elizabeth Taylor!

I posted photos of her when she passed in my post-- Her Time In The Sun Is Over! which was a take-off on A Place in the Sun.  I love the photos that I did for that post because she was in the the shadows and out of the sun.

It was a happy accident.

She was also in photos with my Divas when the new dresses I ordered off of ebay came in. She was rebodied on a Disney body with her blog name of Liz and personality in Five Lovely Ladies In New Dresses!

Liz in her dress!
The Divas in their dress before Liz and Ms. D. got into a argument and Ms. D had her banned from the blog. That is why you haven't seen her since 2013! She is no longer banned and back in the blog.
She is finally documented on the blog!

A short snippet on Lix Taylor from Wikipedia:

Dame Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor DBE (February 27, 1932 – March 23, 2011) was a British-American actress. She began her career as a child actress in the early 1940s and was one of the most popular stars of classical Hollywood cinema in the 1950s. She then became the highest paid movie star in the 1960s, remaining a well-known public figure for the rest of her life. In 1999, the American Film Institute named her the seventh-greatest.

Born in London to socially prominent American parents, Taylor moved with her family to Los Angeles in 1939. She made her acting debut with a minor role in the Universal Pictures film There's One Born Every Minute (1942), but the studio ended her contract after a year.  She was then signed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and became a popular teen star after appearing in National Velvet (1944). She transitioned to mature roles in the 1950's when she starred in the comedy Father of the Bride (1950) and received critical acclaim for her performance in the drama A Place in the Sun (1951).  To read more, go to the wikipedia link

There are a few releases of Elizabeth Taylor doll by Mattel with the Elizabeth Taylor face.  I purchase the White Diamonds doll when she was released back in 2000 because she was on sale with a makeup purchase that became a Christmas president.

White Diamonds!

They did a really great job with the eyes!
There is also the Father of the Bride doll!

She looks like the fashion Icon that she is!

Five Lovely Ladies In New Dresses!

Hey Gang!

I purchase some dresses on the web and wanted to show them to you..
Yes, I probable could have made them but they were cheap and I needed
a doll fix so I got them!  Now with her coloring, KiK could have showed
all of them but that is not her way.  She thought that everyone, especially
Ms. D should wear one. So on with the show!

First, Ms. KiKi
KiKi: This is a cute little number that I will definitely carry in Laurent's
Heritage. You can wear it in the summer at the beach or out to dinner.
In the spring, fall and winter it can be layered with a
sweater, jacket or pants! ....

and gold shoes makes a statement!
Shelly: OK, Green in green....get it! Well, any way I'm wearing the green dress.
It works well with my coloring.
Shelly I agree with KiKi.  It works well layered.
Hey gang, since this is the first time you really hear Lola speak, you really hear
to Brazilian accent. Insert you imagination here!

Lola: The playful colors and bold print of the dress reflect my fashion sense.
My husband will love me in this dress!
Liz: Well hello there!  I'm Liz!
Ms. Leo:  I haven't posted Liz since the real Liz died!  I think that was one
of my better dios and photos.  I have re-bodied her! She will take up her role
as the area drama queen!
Liz: I'm not a drama queen!  I just know what I want and expect to get it.
Anyway this dresses colors bring out the purple in my eyes!
The deep color against my pale skin really work well!
and oh yes, I can now pose!
Ms. D: Of course I am the finale!  Wait... was that three photos she got
Ms.Leo?

Ms. Leo: Well, ..yeah...it is her coming out body...so!

Ms. D: Hmmph!  I'm wearing the pink and brown.  This is one of my favorite
color combos!
This dress is great for a wedding or social function!

OK! Group Photo!

Ms. D: Shelly honey, if you just drop your chin a little, you will photograph much
better!

Shelly: Oh yes, you are soo right!

Liz:: If you know soo much then why don't you know that your hair is sticking up!

Ms. D straightens her hair and says...
Ms. D: I know I'm the main character in this blog and I can make sure you face
isn't on it!
Liz: Really!
Ms. D:  No one wants to see your big head anyway!
Shelly: Yeah! Tell her D!
Liz:: Get your hand out of my face..or ...
Ms. D: Or what? You'll have black and blue to go with those purple eyes!
KiKi: Oh my!
Lola is forever the peacemaker!
Lola: Can't we all just get along!
I think we will cut away now!  I think this is getting pretty ugly!

OK, Thanks For Looking!

My Star Wars Mace Windu

Hey Gang,

I showed you my Lando  Star Wars Action figure but I didn't show
you the rest of my Star Wars action figures.  So I will show you them over
the next few posts.  My second Star Wars action figure is also and AA
figure.  He is Mace Windu!  I had two Mace Windu action figures.
One was a 2002 Attack of the Clones Mace Windu.  I sold him to
Tracy India and he is having a great time in his new home.  Hugs and
kisses to both Tracy and Mace!

The other was the Star Wars Episode 1 Mace Windu 1999.
He is a Jedi Knight!  Windu was played by actor Samuel L. Jackson.
If you don't know the Star Wars movies here is a link that will give you
the brief story of Windu.  The uniforms on both dolls are great but
the Episode I has a cape!

 Close-Up!
Back of cape! It is a knit fabric like cotton jersey.
Under the cape is the Jedi uniform! It has a linen feel to it.
This is different from AOTC Mace who uniform is more of a gauze.
I may show the other uniform in a upcoming post.
It is a jacket with a mock under shirt, an overlay vest thing and a belt.
He wears brown leather look boots.
 Belt fastens in the back.
The vest thing off in the front and....
 in the back.
He wears taupe 3/4 length pants.

 Warning Nude Doll!

He has the body that Hasbro used for the Star Trek dolls.  He has
a twist and turn waist.  I have found it to break at the waist.
I hope this one does not.  He has articulated elbows and biceps.
He can fit some Ken and most action figure clothing.
He does have shoes that come off and real feet.  Feet are larger than Ken
dolls and will need larger shoes and feet are articulated up and down at ankle.

So here he is redressed as his role in Johnston.  He will keep his first name as
his last name and get a new first name.  He is Major Roland Mace of the
US Army! Roland: Hello!

He gets a family too! Two of them you have met!  His wife is Lola, a local
swimwear designer. Lola :Hello!
and one of his daughters is Aya.
Aya: Hi!

 And Annyah his baby girl!
Annyah: Hi!

She is a fairy head swap onto a Stacie body.  She will be a friend
and classmate of Stacie Green. The population of Johnston is growing with
new residents and families!

What I've Been Up To-- Part Three! Progress On Re-boding!!!

Hey Gang,

It’s been a long time since I posted!  I’m glad to share with you more of my doll finds and projects!  I had a big thrift store shopping spree a while back.  I won’t say how much I spent but it was a good bit.  I am still working my way through the bag!

As you know I have found articulated bodies at the thrift store.  I have been reboding dolls in my collection and new dolls that I added to my collection.  One dolls that I added to my collection was Fairytopia Dandelion doll.  I was surprised when I saw her in a post on Manhamana’s Department of Dolls because I just got my doll!  Thanks Manhamana for your post!  I have rebodied mine on the extra Fashionista Summer body I told you about in my last post.
Here she is on her new body!
The dress she is in is the one I use before a figure out the character of the doll and what that character would wear.  I do think she will like jewelry and shoes.  She looks the type.

I just love her hair color.  I washed it and combed it out.  It was I believe the technical term for it is “a hot mess”! It was knotted and matted but with a good wash and condition, she looks much better now.  I am not finished styling her hair but this will do for now!

I like this doll when the fairytopias  first came out but I don’t remember why I never purchased her.  Maybe it was the balloon head.  She has the face sculpt of one of my favorite dolls.  Yes, She looks like KiKi!

I think that they used the same face but changed the complexion.  Since she has the “Balloon” head, the model number and year are different.   I really love her on the new body too.  She is ready to play! Her name is Lola.

On the same rack of the store was this doll too.  It was a day for red-haired dolls.  I rebodied her before I thought about taking pictures first also. She is a Hannah Montana Lola doll.  Here is a picture of the original doll.

I wish my doll came with those clothes becaue I like that outfit!   She came nude.  I put her on a Liv doll body. The Hannah doll don't have the articulation I like.
Here she is.

She has got a cute face but her hair will need just a little help.  She will be a student working her way through college.  I think I will call her Phoebe.  She does look like a Phoebe

There were three little one in my bag of purchases.

 Stacie and Sharpay

I searched the web to find out who she was.  She is the version of the doll that Disney did.  The front of the top on mine is a beige color.  I think something faded with it. She looks older than the version that Mattel did.  I think she will be rebodied onto a larger body .  Maybe one of the Rapunzel dolls I showed you in the last post. and become an adult.
I have two Stacie's but I remember a post that Vanessa did on turning girl dolls  into boy boy dolls.  I think she may get that treatment.
She was in the bag with the other three.  It was 1.90 for the bag so why not get it and keep her too!  She got a cute little dress and shoes.  I think she is a Dollar Store doll.
I also found one of the first HSM dolls done by Mattel.  She is the larger 111/2 inch Barbie sized doll like the one pictured below.

Here is the one I found.
I think I am going to rebody her and I am calling her Consuela!  I'll have to find the right body.

OK, This is not a thrift store find.  I got this idea from limbe dolls Beach Bummin' post!  Thanks for that post!  It really came in handy!  Please check out her blog and the fantastic items she has for sale!  I just love the wig and sandals I purchased.

I found the Cody Simpson doll on sale for 6.99.  So One Direction Zayn got a new body.  I might even purchase a few more Cody dolls to have as stock!

He can really move around now.  His neck is a little longer but it makes him taller.  Zayn: I don't mind a bit!
I will be borrowing a few other ideas I have seen on some posts lately.  So consider it the highest form of flattery and thanks for the idea!

OK, Thanks for looking!
