The Year Of The Clones And Off Brand Dolls!

 Hey Gang!

This year is the Year Of The Clones! Oh, and Off Brand dolls

Insert the Empire theme music here!

Over the years, I have purchased many clone and off-brand dolls, which will be featured this year!

My clone dolls will get storylines and personalities this year, and they will get more blog time! I also hope to get a few more clone dolls this year.

One key way I feature my clone dolls is on the FB page Cone Fashion Doll Collectors! This page is for collectors of clones/copycats of Barbies and off-brand dolls from 5&10 to dollar stores. It lets you share your dolls and information on these dolls. I suggest you make your way over and enjoy it.

As I readied for this year, I started by ordering clone Fashionista articulated bodies from AliExpress in dark brown, medium brown, and light brown.

This will allow me to articulate my clones/off-brand dolls and make them more fun to Play with! These bodies have similar articulation to the old Fashionista Barbie doll but don't have the up and down neck articulation. They aren't as well made as the original Fashionista doll bodies but they will work for me now.  The numbers are darkest to the lightest body #1 is close to SIS Chandra,#2 is more like Kara,#3 is more like Grace,#4 is like Trichelle or Atsry Fashionista, and #5 I can't figure out what head would match.

My first doll to get a new body was Britta, which I purchased from a local 5&10 store in 2012.

Close-up of her face. I don't know who she is by. If you do, please let me know!
Next up

Next up is Lovely Patsy My Chic Collection which also was purchased in 2012. I got these dolls from Family Dollar or Family General. I got them after Christmas and she was half-price. I purchased the dolls for the outfits. One complete doll was donated and I keep the heads from the other two. I have been playing around with them for years with no firm decision. These dolls and the doll above are both clones of CEO/My Generation Barbie. The doll above is the better version.

I got this Vicky by Excite doll at the Family Dollar store in 2003. She comes in a
Caucasian and an AA version, and I have purchased both.

Warning Nude dolls!

The first doll I call Britta and the Patsy. Here they are on the #2 body.
Vicki is a now Veronica. She is what Debbie of Black Dolls Enthusiast would call a competitor.

Also, if you can find this body tone on the net, you can purchase the Glam Squad AA doll from Five and Below. She has about the same skin tone.
Here is Fist Black Barbie Christy on Glam Squad body.
And here is Olmec Naomi on the body

Leave No Store Un-shopped!

Hey Gang!

When looking for dolls during the Holiday season, you can leave no stone unturned
or should I say no store unshopped!  So here are dolls and action figures that I found
in places.   Some stores you might not expect to see them.

First Stop!  Acme Market.

While look for turkey stock, they never seem to have turkey stock one day after Thanksgiving.
Just when do they think people make turkey soup...Thanksgiving?Anyway, I found these dolls!

I would normally see this type of doll in Family Dollar but her they were at Acme!
I think I first saw this set several years ago in Target and Toys R Us!
This is my first holiday season with out Toys R Us! Boo Hoo!

There were Barbies too!
I was really surprised to see action figures there too!  This guy comes with tons of stuff!

It is a World Peacekeepers set with and ATV!
I think this is a new head sculpt too! Or at least a different hairstyle.
Spring suspension too!
There were two! One is a S.W.A.T. and one Military!
With some great stuff too!
These weren't cheap!  They wandt $29.00 for them!
I think I have seen him before as a blonde!
His gear!
They had this guy too!  I was told that they did have more but they sold!

And although I didn't see them at my local store, Aldi had Fashionistas advertised!

$6.99 is a great price if you can find them!

They also had bottle cover that can be used for dolls!  See Debbie's post!
There was a dollhouse but I don't have any photos!
I found the Christmas selection of holiday dolls Family Dollar.

They were buy one,get one 50% off!
 Dolls!
These appear to be clones of several different dolls!  Some look like Moxie Girlz.
The one on the left looks like Barbie Summer clone.
This is another version of the doll with that Summer headsculpt.
I found this duo there too!
Look happy! She might buys us!  What?
This guy looks like a Kenya Dwayne clone!
Male doll: Who is Dwayne?
She is the same headsculpt has the Walmart dolls New Kids from 2016!  They didn't
do them this year.

OK, Thanks For Looking!

Family Dollar Store!

Hey Gang!

I saw these Fair Tale High dolls at Family! I think they are about the size
of Winx dolls!  They were only $10.00

There were a good variety of dolls available.
They were articulated for $10.00 too.  Their arms, hands and legs.
They have cute outfits for that price!
 Stocking also.
I can see the clothes on many of my dolls!
These would be easily used for my teen dolls.
I think they will sell well over the Holidays!
I would hope that there would be some left for the after Xmas sales. But
I won't count on it unless I see them fill the shelves soon.
What surprised me about these dolls dolls was the articulation for 10.00!
Even articulated Winx dolls are more than 10.00.  I can't see how well
they are made but they look pretty good.

The shoes are very nice too.
Glass slippers!
They look a lot like Star Doll shoes.
I think they will work well for my dolls with larger feet.
 They have good colors too!
 I like the sneakers.

There were fashion paks there too!  Not as good as the Sparkle doll paks but

These might be about for sale time!
Many of  my dolls like animal prints.  There might be a fight over some of these.
