Hey Gang!
I told you I would follow up with a review on the Fiyero doll, and I will. I will also be sharing my Wicked For The Good Wizard doll.
Let's start with the promo shots!
I purchased Fiyero from Target for $24.99.
He has a great face. Very masculine.
Blue boots and a book.
Out of the box!
I am generally not one for painted-on details, but it really works for these dolls.
The back of the box.
Close-up! This is a good likeness of Jonathan Bailey.
Jacket and pants from the front and side.
Boots, a book, and a bag.
Warning: Nude doll!
For me, the most important thing is the body! Let's take a look at it.
Besides the standard articulation, he has articulated elbows, hands, and knees.
The front
Comparing the body to the MTM male and the Cheerleader male body to the Wicked male body.. The MTM doll is approximately the same height but less articulated than the Wicked male. There is no ankle or chest articulation with the Wicked male. The Wicked Male is slightly shorter than the Cheerlead body and lacks ankle articulation.
The feet for the Wicked male are similar to those of a Ken doll, so they can wear the same shoes. The Wizard
The Promo shots!
I purchased the Wizard at Walmart.com for $27.99. I had to be persistent to get him. If you search for him on the Walmart site, it will say he is out of stock. He sells out quickly, and even if you put him on your list, he will likely be sold out before you have a chance to be notified. My suggestion is to search daily, doing a new search each time you check.
He has a fabulous outfit. If the details of the costumes in the movie are as lovely as those of the doll, I can see why the costume designer won awards.
This is a nice-looking mature male.
It continues with the color and the detail on his robe.

Back of the box.
Close-up!
Remarkable likeness of Jeff Goldblum. He is one of my favorite actors, so it is nice to
add him to my collection.
You can see the design of the vest in this photo.
With the promo photos of the coat, you can't tell what the fabric is. It feels like an ultraseude or microfiber. It gives the velvet a luxurious feel.
The print is absent from the back, but not in a way that suggests they were being cheap.Sadly, the vest and shirt collar (not a full shirt) are attached to the jacket.
The collar of the vest/shirt combo attaches in the back. I am wondering if they can be turned into separate pieces?
The pants are green without detail.
The shoes are a half boot with details molded into them.
Nothing says dashing like a cane! The spiral design, with its curved handle, is distinctive.
The Wicked males share the same body. It would have been nice to have a mature body on the older doll. Considering that Jeff Goldblum has always had a thin, wiry physique, I suppose it works.Stay tuned for a fashion show!

The Wizard is on my wish list. (Family rules about no buying yourself possible Christmas gifts after a certain date.) If Santa don't bring him, I'll wait for my Walmart to have him. You sent me Morrible last year and then my store got a boatload of her! I reckon the same will happen here so I just gotta be patient.
Thanks for your comment, Jeanie! I am glad you like the Wiz and hope your store gets another boatload. I am starting to see him redressed on the web and FB. Jeff has such a great personal style. People are expressing that with their dolls.
