Hey Gang!
I was messaging D7ana of A Philly doll collector
about the new Fresh dolls and where she could
find them. She asked if I was going to blog about
them. I said no! It is becoming too hard!
I was wondering about continuing
I was wondering about continuing
blogging too. Has anyone else been debating it
too? I'm not sure if it would be easier blogging from
the App? Or is it that the other new forms of media is
just easier? It is hard working from just
my tablet! Normally, I still go to the
library to post because I can make everything
look the way I want it to from there. (this one is
from tablet) Is it time to pack up the blog?
Let me know what you think! I am going to try doing
a poll from my tablet.

I will post about Fresh dolls too. I did change my mind
about that.
about that.

I wouldn't close it completely, just take a hiatus, maybe?
I feel like it depends on the blog, and how much of an audience there is. I blog for myself mostly, since I don't think very many read my blogs. Blogger/blogspot is very frustrating for me to get the images and text to look right, even on a laptop!
Honestly, I would very much miss your blogs, but I can definitely understand.
I hope that you choose to stay but maybe take a break like I have done. There are some of us who are not on social media. My new job has gotten in my way, but I plan to fit it back in somehow. Hopefully, I will be back soon.
I voted "Maybe" on your poll. I still like to blog from time to time, but sometimes I think I make it harder on myself than what it has to be (because sometimes I make videos and that takes a lot more time). I won't stop blogging completely. I hope that you will keep your blog open, but whether you post here or on Facebook or elsewhere, I will follow you.
Perhaps you could post weekly or monthly or take a hiatus and return refreshed? Whatever you decide, I'll keep your link on my site. And I'll look for you on FB.
Hi Ms Leo,
I have not been blogging as much lately due to lack of time. Social media interaction with other collectors is easier through the many available Facebook groups, including my own, but I enjoy writing and providing in-depth doll information. I think most of my blog followers enjoy receiving it as well. I also don't want writing and reading to become lost in the shuffle of things, so I will continue to blog. However, if it was difficult for me to do, such as having to leave my house to post blogs, I would have never begun blogging or writing otherwise.
I think I have posted maybe one blog from my tablet using the Blogger app which I didn't really enjoy using. It might work well for someone who keeps photos on the same device as the app. I do not. The app might be convenient for writing draft posts that can be fine tuned later with edits and photos, if the photos are not available at the time the draft is written.
I wouldn't close my blog. The info already published remains useful. It would be like burning books.

I voted no, blogging isn't dead. Many people get many forms of information through blogging nowadays. I had left off blogging to almost once a month, and now I am back to blogging regularly again. I think for all of us, 'life' gets in the way. I find some of my facebook groups are far too demanding to participate in with their constant posting and themes and memes, and 'requirements' of 'if you don't participate every day' you're outa here! control freak factor. I simply don't have time for that despite my huge collection- I might work from home but running a business is constant and I don't always have time to play. Same goes with blogging. I would say step away from it and maybe post once a month with something like news on the new dolls once a month. That way you don't feel overwhelmed. Then take it from there. I think you would be really missed.
I totally agree with the others. It depends on the type of blog and your audience. Blogs are sorta like magazines for me--which is exactly how I approach my blog. I think the people drawn to them want more in depth information. Facebook and Instagram or like impromptu, quick conversations. You're only going to get a few seconds of anybody's time on IG. Maybe a few moments more on FB AND...you are competing with soooo many others on those social media. With your blog, you have the person all to yourself! That's my $0.02
I think if you just want to post something quick, then you can use social media. For me, I find it easier to post stories on the blog. It makes things easier to track, find and follow.
It is most important that you do what works for you. If it's no longer blogging, then so be it. If it's a mix depending on what you want to post, then so be it. You have to do what works for you and the rest will follow.
I think you should still post. It was much easier for me when I could use the app to post, the blogger is not on iphone app anymore, so I have to wait to use the computer when I get home. This takes time, the app allowed me to post during my lunch time.
I love blogs! I find them easier and more involving to read. They are like magazines to me. Even when I don't have time to blog myself, I find time to read my favorites.
Thanks for your comment and insights RagingMoon1987, Erin, Georga Girl, RoxanneRoxanne, D7ana, dgb of BDE, Lisa, April, Jaye, Male Doll World and Muff! Since posting this I also looked at other comments that needed moderation. I guess I do supply information and answer question. I still have over 200 followers who are following because they find something here! I guess I just need to schedule time to do it. Social Media like cable, sometimes there isn't any thing to watch/read. The more that is out there the better it is!
I have that kind of difficulties too, mainly because my personal life doesn't leave me much spare time. But I love reading blogs and blogging too! Even if you find it harder...just post fewer times, but keep blogging :)
