Let's Talk About Bruno!

 Hey Gang!

I know that say "we don't talk about Bruno". I say"Let's Talk About Bruno!" I found him at Walmart for $12.98!  I have some photos from the web and my photos here to show you.

My out of box photos!

He comes with a hooded poncho and bodysuit shirt and pants. The poncho has a printed on design. He has curly hair and is a coco brown complexion.

His curly hair was to smashed up in the back like many other dolls that I purchased with curly hair.

I am trying to decide if he looks more like Prince or Katt Williams? What do you think?

He has large feet in blue sandals.

The Sandals

He has a large head.  In fact the he heads of the Encanto dolls are larger that most of the Disney dolls done in the past.  Here he is next to Fresh Squad Anthony.  He is shorter and most of his height is his head.

He stands about 11 inches.

One of my male dolls on a larger scale is this My Scene Bryant. So we will use him for scale.

His head is bigger and Bryant's head is larger than Ken.

I thought Bryant had some mitts on him but Bruno's hands are larger with longer fingers.

His feet are larger. So no wearing Ken doll shoes.

I don't have to do a warning because Bruno is wearing underwear!

In compared to Ken and other dolls, Bruno doesn't have the fit body of most male dolls.

He doesn't have much butt and he has a bit of a pudge but after purchasing Broad Ken and Hagrid dolls, I am OK with his pudge.  

I put him in some male doll clothes that I had.  I had to fold under the hem of the pants 

and find a top for his long arms.

River Righting!

 Hey Gang!

So Laurel takes her brother to her apartment to trying somethings for him.

Laurel: You comin' out? It shouldn't take that long to change!

River: I kinda like this! It what I would normally wear.

River: But who did you really buy these for?

Laurel: What do you mean?

River: You just have men's wear hanging around here? Is this your boy's stuff?

Laurel: No, Ms. Leo gave these to me for you. 

River: Thank you Ms. Leo!

Dolly Crafting At The Native American Longhouse Settlement!

Hey Gang!

Recently I watch some videos that Martha Stewart did on wreaths and she was my muse for this posting. Unfortunately I could link her video here. Martha isn't sharing like that but I did find 

another.

Happy Family Grandma plays double duty in my dolliverse and here she is Martha Stewart.. If you have ever listen to Martha Stewart, you know that she has a distinct voice. So I ask you
to imagine her voice as Happy Family Grandma.  Martha has come to and asked Loraine to show us how she makes holiday crafts from pine cones.

Martha: On this segment we traveled to Pennsylvania to make pine cone wreaths! 

We are in the kitchen of the Native American Longhouse Settlement to meet with artist Loraine Running Bear!

Loraine runs her company Spirit for her home here.  She is widely know for her pottery!

This is one of her pottery here!

We are here in her wonderful longhouse kitchen ...

to have show us one of the other things she has become famous for. 

Loraine makes beautiful pine cone crafts!

Martha: You have beautiful pine cones here!

Loraine: Thank you! The settlement sits on over 1200 acres and we have many different varieties of evergreens

.

Martha: You have recently be able to move here?

Loraine: Yes, there was a 15 year law suit to get back our land here and it was only recently settled.

Since moving back, I have been able to enjoy the land and discover it beauty and bounty.

The wonderful pine cones here are great for all kinds of arrangements and crafts. I walk the grounds 

with my basket and collect them for my projects! This time of year they are plentiful.

Martha: Well, that is a good thing!

Happy Halloween! Since this is the day for magic, I thought I would share with you my....

Bellatrix Lestrange!

She, like Cinderella Fairy Godmother are modeled after  Helena Bonham Carter who is a famous British actress.

Bellatrix is one of the bad wizards in the films and is rumored to have had a baby with Voldemort!

Yeah, don't think about it or your skin might crawl.

I love her two tone hair color and that she has a bent wand.

The other detail of her outfit are pretty nice too!

I have a black witches hat that would work well with her outfit but like with most things around her,

I will have to find it.

Rock The Bells Anthony!

 Hey Gang!

Guess what I found online at Walmart! Yup! I was able to order two before they started making you "check out your local store for availability".

Anthony: Hey, it's me!

Malik: WOW, It is you but different!

Anthony: I know, right! But I'm too smooth for these sweatpants and shirt!

Malik: Yeah, that outfit is for a youth. Did you know he doesn't have the purple bottom sneakers?

Anthony: Really?

So lets compare them.  The new doll is lighter than the old doll. The new doll has more of a matte look to him too.

The beard is higher on the new doll.

Like my Malik, I tried putting the old doll's head on the new body and like it!

Now let's put him in the old outfit.  Yeah, I like that better!

Anthony: I heard the Queens were her!

Malik: Yeah, that is another story!
