More Fresh Dolls!

 Hey Gang!

I've been stocking up on the new Fresh Dolls! I purchased the boys on their website and Walmart but wanted to see the girls in person before purchasing them.  My first purchase was Carissa!

My doll

Some people who purchased her said theirs had a longer neck doll. They said that they made their purchase from the website. The one I found at the Target near me,  and it didn't.  

After watching Dr. Lisa's video introducing the new dolls, I noticed they all had longer necks and smaller heads. The dolls I saw in the store had a variety of neck lengths. Also, she didn't look as yellow on the websites as in person. Both Ian (male doll) and Carissa have a yellow cast on their skin. She is a hard match for a body with a longer neck using Fresh Doll or Mattel. I purchased another eBay doll with a longer neck, and I am happy with her. So now I have a doll with a short neck and a longer neck!

Someone recommended the Mai as a replacement body but she wasn't a good match. The two doll's faces are slightly different.

Carissa is giving me old-school Christina Aguilera vibes.

Next up is Rock the Bell Ebony

I thought the Rock the Bell Ebony would have a long neck and a small head. She had a small head and a short neck. Bummer!

Rock the Bell Ebony and the Wave #3 Ebony dolls. As you can see the head size is different. It is harder to see that the neck length is different.

She has a soft print top. The print isn't as clear as I'm used to seeing. It looks blurred. 

She has light blue/gray jeggings with a graffiti print. 

The sneaker's quality isn't what we are used to seeing from fresh dolls. They are more like AliExpress doll sneakers.

When dolls are this dark, it is hard to get the lighting just right with the glare from the packaging.

She eats the light but she is beautiful! I love her crisscross romper.

I just can't believe how beautiful Aniyah is! I would like a more articulated body but am unwilling to trade it for a less bootylicious body.  The looks Barbie #10 is a possible match but slimmer.

Since I already have a Keyshia in Johnson, I have to give this girl a new name.  I am naming her Raylene. She is the sister of Lars.

Gerald "Charles" Dickens Tours The Byers' Choice Visitor Center!

Hey Gang!

I took this tour years ago but  I'm glad they have the YouTube experience so you can see it. You can also take this tour in person. They are located at 4355 County Line Rd, Chalfont, PA In Bucks County. It is something great to do during the holidays for you and your family. They have great gardens to tour in the summer. Sometimes they host special programs too!

Test Shots!

 Hey Gang!

Every year I put a holiday display at the top of the stairs. There is a table there and I feel obliged to fill it, especially during the holidays. 

I purchased two new deer from Target. I like them because of their size. 

They were $10.00, which is cheaper than Byers Choice LTD. They sell holiday carolers that are twelve inches high.  They also have nice diorama pieces for them which are great for Barbie. 

The Byers Choice Reindeer are $28.00 and not as tall. The one Stand is about 10 inches. 

The Target deer antlers are red and they should be brown. I'll need to paint them. From the test shots, I can tell that they are a problem.

So here is the test shot of the deer.

I used the backdrop I got from Walmart several Christmases ago for free after the season was over.

It gets plenty of use. I need better lighting, though. It has a yellow cast. Trees also need to be added to give it more of a 3D effect.  I am trying to decide if the greenery needs to go too!

Measurements: The Target deer is about 13 inches to the top of the antlers.

Caribou is about 12 inches to the top of the antlers.

Byer's Deer is about 8 1/2 inches to the top of the antlers. I will post the final photos on Christmas.

Snoop Dogg Is In The House!

There are a ton of Christmas ornaments out there but I had to have the Snoop Dogg ornaments this year!

 Snoop Dogg is quite the entrepreneur! He has several commercials, he has a food company Foods, he is the founder of Snoopadelic Films, he is the co-founder of Casa Verde Capital a venture capital firm, he owns and promotes Leafs By Snoop a cannabis brand, and much more! He is on the Voice and he carried the Olympic torch!

Five and Below Glam Squad!

 Hey Gang!

I was able to find the Glam Squad fashion packs at Five Below! I had seen them on Facebook and looked for them when I went there. Thus far, there are only three.

I purchased a Glam Squad doll the Yoga doll to try it on!

So before I show her in the outfits, let's look at the yoga doll and what she comes with!

She comes with a towel, yoga mat with carrier, yoga ball, hand weight, and water bottle.

She is articulated at the shoulder, elbow, and wrist.  She has an articulated hip and knee.

She has a large head with large eyes. The face is not the best and will have to go.

The body can be used for other dolls!

I decided to show the doll fashions on the body without the head. Her face was 

too distracting. It is good to use a cover on the hands when trying on clothes. I cut a finger off of a glove.

Street Wear

White shirt, red GS jacket, print jeans, black sunglasses, white sneakers, and red hat.

Autumn Vibes

It has a black and white plaid coat and straw bag. I thought they weren't a match. It also comes with a white shirt but is not as well made as the first set. The sleeves are a little lopsided. There are red glasses too but I misplaced them.

There are white shoes and jeans with an elastic waist.

Fashionista 

The Fashionista set comes with two outfits.

This top's sleeve and bottom hems are unfinished. The skirt's hem is unfinished

as well. Styled with black shoes. I'll keep the top and work on it. Pleather skirts don't last 

long and will be donated.
