Hey, I'm Back!

Hey Gang!

It is probably wrong to say I'm back when I didn't say that I've gone away.
Many of you know that I am normally busy at the Phila. Flower Show
and I was again this year.  I was there the whole 10 days of the show.  There
is no one to cover me at work.  I have get as much done befor the show as I
can and do a ton when I come back.

This year's theme was Explore America.  It was a celebration of 100 years of the
National Parks.
This is the entrance of the show.
My husband and I sat at the Phila. Cactus and Succulent Society booth.
Baby at the booth!
 Photos of the booth.
The booth is educational and we answered questions about cactus and succulents
More pictures.
We had over 100 examples of plants for people to see and as questions about.
We have info booklets to sell and info on are meetings.
I saw this girl with these skates on while I was there.
 Baby and the buffalo.
This stuff animal was there too!
The individual competition takes place in  The Hamilton Horticourt.
 Orchids
There are always a ton of beautiful orchids there to see.
People love taking picture of the show.
I took some close-ups of some of the flowers.

I think I might get into orchids this year!
Amoung the orchids I found this flower too!
Martha Stewart
I talked to her too!
I won some ribbons.  Here are two.

 More pictures of  Hamilton Horticourt.

Congratulations on your win! This is awesome! The flowers are beautiful! I had to go back and look at your flowers up close. Do people come from all over the world? Truly amazing!!

Martha Stewart...wow! I love her baking show, lol. What gorgeous photos...succulents are my favorite plant. I would've been in heaven looking around there.
Welcome back!

Welcome back AND...CONGRATULATIONS on winning two ribbons. I'm sure you must be proud!! I've only been to one flower show many years ago, but it was held outdoors. I remember it being quite lovely. From your photos I'm sure that convention was a treat for both the eyes and the nose!

Thanks for your comments and thanks for your congrats on my ribbons Muff, jSarie, The grandmommy, Georgia Girl, Janainah, Farrah and April!

Muff, this one is local so I can be there the 10 days. I'm not paying for a hotel room.

jSarie, it is a really great show.

The grandmommy and Janainah, it is something to see! Many travel to Philly, see the Flower Show and take in the many Phila. museums or other sites. Theme of next year's show is Holland.

Georgia Girl, the Phila. Flower show draws more than 260,000 people to the show. Of those who attend 18-21% are from the Phila area. The rest are from East, Midwest and West coast. There are also many who come from outside the US.

Farrah, if you like cactus and succulent, it is the show to see!

April, the Phila. Flower Show is the biggest indoor flower shows in the world. It is a must see!

It looks like a great show. I don't think I know of any garden shows that run for 10 days, the majority here run over a weekend or sometimes a long weekend (so 4 days rather than 3). Congratulations on your wins.

Congrats! I didn't know you grew cacti. Succulents are fascinating plants, but I always manage to kill mine... :(
