Hey Gang!
Are the days of stiff dolls over? Will articulation become the new baseline for dolls? Why am I asking this? It is because I am starting to see articulation in clone dolls!
These dolls aren't only on sites like AliExpress and Temu but they are starting to show up in local discount stores like Roses, Ollies, and Marshall's.
Found at Roses for $4.99!
Once the baseline was click knees and most dolls, even clones, had click knees. The very low-end clones had hollow bodies. When Mattel went from click knees to Fashionista bodies! I think we all loved them and thought it was the way Mattel was going with all of their dolls.
Fashionista Desiree (about 2008-2009)
There are still stiff doll clones but the fact that articulated clone dolls are selling at the same price as stiff clones may mean that this is the direction that clone dolls are gone. Can brand dolls be far behind?
