Elizabeth Taylor!

 Hey Gang!

Today is her birthday-- Elizabeth Taylor!

I posted photos of her when she passed in my post-- Her Time In The Sun Is Over! which was a take-off on A Place in the Sun.  I love the photos that I did for that post because she was in the the shadows and out of the sun.

It was a happy accident.

She was also in photos with my Divas when the new dresses I ordered off of ebay came in. She was rebodied on a Disney body with her blog name of Liz and personality in Five Lovely Ladies In New Dresses!

Liz in her dress!
The Divas in their dress before Liz and Ms. D. got into a argument and Ms. D had her banned from the blog. That is why you haven't seen her since 2013! She is no longer banned and back in the blog.
She is finally documented on the blog!

A short snippet on Lix Taylor from Wikipedia:

Dame Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor DBE (February 27, 1932 – March 23, 2011) was a British-American actress. She began her career as a child actress in the early 1940s and was one of the most popular stars of classical Hollywood cinema in the 1950s. She then became the highest paid movie star in the 1960s, remaining a well-known public figure for the rest of her life. In 1999, the American Film Institute named her the seventh-greatest.

Born in London to socially prominent American parents, Taylor moved with her family to Los Angeles in 1939. She made her acting debut with a minor role in the Universal Pictures film There's One Born Every Minute (1942), but the studio ended her contract after a year.  She was then signed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and became a popular teen star after appearing in National Velvet (1944). She transitioned to mature roles in the 1950's when she starred in the comedy Father of the Bride (1950) and received critical acclaim for her performance in the drama A Place in the Sun (1951).  To read more, go to the wikipedia link

There are a few releases of Elizabeth Taylor doll by Mattel with the Elizabeth Taylor face.  I purchase the White Diamonds doll when she was released back in 2000 because she was on sale with a makeup purchase that became a Christmas president.

White Diamonds!

They did a really great job with the eyes!
There is also the Father of the Bride doll!

She looks like the fashion Icon that she is!

Thanks for your comments Phyllis and The grandmommy!

Phyllis, thanks! She really was beautiful but what I think I really like is that she seemed to live her life on her own terms!

The grandmommy, I do like that outfit too!
