My New Guys From Aliexpress!

Hey Gang!

I got these guys from Aliexpress on sale for $5.00! They are clone dolls. I often use clone dolls in the background of dioramas. Occasionally, a background doll makes it to become a main charater. When I purchase clones like this, I am looking at the face and the outfits. I don't want to purchase two dolls with the same face and I want outfit I can see myself using on other dolls too.

First up is a doll I'm calling Ned.

I like his yellow pants,print shirt and denim jacket.

Next is a doll I'm calling Alvin.

I can always use a blue shirt and I like the lenth of the shorts.

Finally, Is a doll I'm calling Beck.

His basic pieces works well with anything.

Out of the bag. Yes, the came in a bag. They were what the picture said they were.

Face is printed/screened like most clone cheaper dolls. It is sad that Mattel is doing this.

The face is nice.

The shoes are Ken doll knockoffs.

New Projects And Video Of The Month!

 Hey Gang!

I have been doing many things with my dolls that at the beginning of my doll collecting I would not have thought possible.  I have switch heads, restyle hair, painted hair, painted eyes, switch a few limbs, made clothes and furniture. (all of which I need to do more of)

This is my next step!  I have purchased a rooting tool and will now attempt to do that too! I purchase to the tool from RestoreDoll.com.  They have rooting tools, hair (saran, nylon and nylatex) for rooting flocking and quality paint for repainting, touchups and restoring.  There are even kits that contain everything you need to start a project.

I ordered the starter kit and a few extra needles the size used for Barbies because we all know that needles brake. I aslo ordered flocking.

The flocking comes in this containers and they are filled to the top.  It spilled out when I opened one.

I was able to get in back into the container but realized that each color needed its' own baggie.

Here is what is in the starter kit. The tool and needles!

This pack has four needles. You can see all the needles on the #7 but some of the #8 were cut off.

These are the size used for Barbie.

All the others are used for dolls other than Barbie.

I have some hair for braiding I can practice with and a few dolls that are hoping to get new hair.

Mermaid Skipper on sale at Amazon!! She was 19.99 at most locations but on sale at Walmart and Target for $15.99. Amazon's price is now $10.99!  I like the fact that she dosen't have a bent arm!
