Here We Go Again!

 Hey Gang!

This is a Copycat!

The expression on the cats face is like mine! A little watchful and a little pissed!

Here we go again! Back in September of 2013 I battle with blogspot.com over another blogger coping my post as their on material.  It took complains and showing them that the post was copied word for word before it was finally taken down!

Just today I got a notice that some doll I order are on they way.  I started searching the web to see what others are saying about the doll and what do you think I saw.....that right my post word for word on another website!  I contacted them and left a message but because they aren't a part of blogstop, I can't complain to them.

I-Luv-Dolls-

This is my post that you may remember from 3/14/22-https://i-luv-dolls.blogspot.com/2022/03/jayla-and-jackson.html

Toy Newz-Toy and Action Figure news and forum

This is their post from the next day:  https://toynewz.com/2022/03/15/jayla-and-jackson/

Now this isn't the first time I have notice my material being used on the net and facebook. I do contact the site when I see it and ask them about it. Some take it down and others will give me the credit.

I am normally not as mad if it is just the text. What will get me upset is the use of my pictures without credit. I will say to you that you should always be on the lookout to see if your are posting are showing up in other locations.

My question to my followers is in the age of Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram and people sharing photos from one place to another, are copyrights no longer important and honored? I would love to hear what you think!

OK, Thanks For Looking!

I don't worry about it much. I'm sure I'd be angry if it happened, but for the most part I just don't think about it. I do have to wonder about the thief. Why would they do it? Is there any logic in copying someone else's free blog onto your free blog?

Have you looked at the site again? They have also copied this post about them copying your posts!

Thanks for your comments Jeanie, Linda and the Unknown commenter!

Jeanie and Linda, I do think they are doing it for the money that they get when people search for information and come across their site.

Unknown, I think it is a bot! That would explain why they would copy the post complaining about what they are doing.

Update! I have seen posts on this site from several of my fellow bloggers and am notifying the of this. Maybe together we can do something! I might hold off on posting until I can figure this thing out.

Thanks for the heads up. I have taken some steps to see if I can have this website taken down and I have published a blog post that provides the details.

I'm sure that post will be published on the bot's site, too.

Hi Ms. Leo! Thank you so much for letting me know about my blog post being stolen. Copyrights may not be honored, but they still exist, and it is up to everyone who has their work stolen to exert their rights to their own work. In this case, this would include going to WordPress and the blog runner's ISP to complain, which I will be doing if I can't figure out how to contact the blog owner. There is a Contact Me section, but I can't seem to fill in any of the boxes!

I have a Pinterest account, and I have seen people pin a vintage photo of my own, that I put up on another blog. To a certain extent, anything that is on the internet can be used by someone else. I have files of images of different types of doll and human clothes that I like, because I might try to make something similar to that for my dolls, for example. But I would never take someone's written work and claim it for my own site, nor post someone's photos and claim them as my own, or claim I sewed the outfit or made the diorama, or whatever is in the photo.

Pinterest will take down things of yours that other people have posted, if you apply to them directly. I've had it happen to me, where I pinned a pic that someone else pinned, and gone back to find that the pin was gone, as the pic owner asked for it to be taken down. I admit that I don't know what the exact rules are, where Pinterest will step in, though. As long as any post of mine that is pinned links back to my personal pages, that doesn't bother me, on a site like Pinterest. I use plenty of pics for reference and inspiration myself.

Thanks for your comments dbg from BDE and Barb! Barb, dbg from BDE said that we should contact GoDaddy who register the site and complain about the abuse. Here is the address she gave me: https://www.godaddy.com/garage/heg-and-godaddy-join-forces-to-help-more-people-get-their-ideas-online/#:~:text=In%20short%2C%20HEG%20and%20GoDaddy,about%20what%20we%20care%20about.
I hope your are able to follow up.

Ms. Leo, Mr. BTEG is a computer guy and told me that we should contact the website's ISP and file a DMCA takedown complaint. He hasn't been feeling well, or he would have looked up the info for me already. I will update if I get news.

Evil Genius,It is good that others are concerned and will to work together!

Linda, I wish I new how to put that type of info on my pictures because I would! I take pictures with a camera and not a phone.

nykole, both time when I found my post copied, I was looking for pictures of things I had posted about and came across picture that looked familiar and said wait, that looks like my photo! On some levels, you have to be checking!
