Hanfu Fashions And Chang'e!

 Hey Gang,

I love seeing videos of the people from China wearing Hunfu Clothing!

I have purchased many Asian dress/costumes for my dolls representing cultures. When I saw the new Over the Moon Chang'e doll I new I had to have her!

Mattel Promo Photos
I like using Mattel promo photos because they do a better job at it than I do! But the promo photos don't show everything that I would like to see.  So that is when I use my photos!
She gives good face!
Headdress!
Necklace and belt
Back
Shoes!

So yes! The doll lives up to the promo photos!  We all know some dolls don't!

Her Hunfu style costume is gorgeous! The fabric drapes lovely and it has great details.A few of the accessories are plastic but that is acceptable to me.
Necklace,belts and shoes
Sash is fabric though

Warning Nude dolls!

I have seen others do youtube reviews of the doll but no one shows the body! So let's look at the body!
The front
The back!
Body comparisons-Ceira on Wildheart Crew boy Chang'e and Esmae.
Chang'e's head isn't that much larger than regular Barbie head.  She does seem to have more cheeks which should be expected for this doll.
Chang'e's torso is longer and arm joints are similar.
Leg joints are similar.
Here legs are about the same length but not as big.
Chang'e's feet are more high heel than Wild Heart Crew.
Shoes for doll that don't have Barbie feet are important! She can wear Wildheart Crew shoes, Harry Potter girl high heel feet shoes and some Monster High girl shoes.

Feet are a little wider.
The headdress is plastic and not real hair! Some have said it would have been nice if they had done real hair for the headdress. I think it would be a mess over time and this was the best way to do it.
You could not have made it this elaborate and keep it this way. This way she can be normal or she can be fancy!
Without the headdress she is the height of most Barbies!
Ceira in Chang'e dress!
In the shoes!
Without the Hanfu outfit, she looks like a regular doll! Chang'e: Hello!
With Dacy Master's sneakers!

OK, Thanks For Looking!

I got the regular one from Walmart. She's got painted on tights, but I'm okay with that. It looks like the same body mold, otherwise, and I also got Fei-Fei. Loving that there's more articulated dolls with reasonable size noggins out there!

Oh, thanks for the detailed review. I've got my Chang'e doll, but didn't have the courage to undress her yet. I agree, she is beautiful and lives up to promo pictures.

First of all, the doll is really pretty and her costume is perfect. But I also find it really interesting to see the doll redressed (which is what I ultimately do after buying a new doll). Thank you for the comparison photos. Enjoy your new dolly.

I love her face! She is so pretty. I purchased the cheaper version who had the painted tights. I put her on a WWE body I had available as the color match was good. That way, I was able to give her jointed wrists. I also got the youth doll Fei Fei. She is so cute. Her body is similar to the jointed Stacie doll. A great addition to any collection!

Thanks for your comments Jeanie, Ihime, April and Phyliss!

Jeanie, I am glad you got the Chang'e dolls that you did. I think I will need to see the Fei Fei doll in person to know if I want her too! If you decide that your to want the plastic hair piece, let me know.

Ihime, I understand wanting to keep her in the box too. I think I need one that I keep in the box too!

April, the comparisons of dolls is what lets me know if I want a doll or not. I is what I search for when considering buying a doll. It has been a while since Mattel has done so well on a costume.

Phyliss, I can understand wanting articulated wrists. I what doll body did you use? I might want to do something more to mine.
