Following Up On An Old Post!

Hey Gang!

Following up on an old post!  A while back I did a post called Early Morning Meeting-
Teenage Angst and Antics. When I made the post I knew it was too long and should
have been a video!  As it turns out, the video is a bit long too.  I am just glad to have
it done!

 OK, Thanks For Looking!

Thrift Store Find- Flo Jo Florence Griffith Joyner Doll-Update!

Hey Gang!
I find a doll at the thrift store that I have kinda wanted.  I say kinda
because there are dolls that I am saving for (mostly IT male dolls), doll that hoping will
come up for sale ( mostly IT dolls). That I will put in my cart if I find them at a
thrift store.  Flo Jo is in that last category.

So, Flo Jo-Florence Griffith Joyner-the women!

Florence Delorez Griffith-Joyner (Born Florence Delorez Griffith December 21, 1959-September 21, 1998), also known as Flo-Jo, was an American track and field athlete. She is considered the fastest woman of all time based on the fact that the world records she set in 1988 for both the 100m and 200m still stand. During the late 1980s she became a popular figure in international track and field because of her record-setting performances and flashy personal style. Griffith Joyner was born and raised in California. She was athletic from a young age. She attended California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and University of California, Los Angeles (UCLS) where she participated in track and field. Griffith Joyner qualified for the 100m 1980 Olympics, although she did not actually compete due to the U.S. boycott. She made her Olympic debut four years latter winning a silver medal. At the 1988 U.S. Olympic trials, Griffith set a new world record in the 100 m. She went on to win three gold medals at the 1988 Olympics. Shortly after the 1988 games, she abruptly retired. After her retirement from athletics, Griffith Joyner remained a pop culture figure though endorsement deals, acting and designing. She died in her sleep as the result of an epileptic seizure in 1998 at the age of 38.

Know for her long and decorated finger nails and....
 Flashy and sexy track outfits!

The doll!

There looks like there was only one version of the doll released.  The one
in the outfit above.  There were fashions for the doll but I don't have any of
those to show.  You can see some on the  Black Doll Collecting post!

The doll I purchase from the thrift store was nude. But I found this outfit in my
stash of clothing that seem to suit her.

This outfit belongs to Hot Skatin' Barbie!
Thanks for your info Treesa of Fashion Doll Memoirs!
She has an interesting face. It is a kind face.

 Her nails!
