Before There Were Belly Button Bodies....There Was Jazzie

Jazzie

Jazzie enjoys one the last great fall days at the
beaches with her buddy, Fluffy. Who is Jazzie?
Well before there were dolls with belly
button bodies...there was Jazzie.
She has one of the sweetest faces that Mattel
has made. Her look is fresh and friendly!

Jazzie like Francie is one of Barbie's cousins! She was
produced in 1989. Francie disappeared in the 70's.
Her face mold was used for a few other dolls including:
Heart Family Mother and the Starr doll's friend Kelly.

Comparison

How does she compare with the belly button bodies?
Aya has come to the beach for comparisons.
She is the same height as Barbie.
Hips are about the same but unlike the belly button
and Fashionista bodies, Jazzie is jointed at the waist...
you know that twist-n-turn thing. Her arms are bent in the
gift giving manner. Jazzie also came along with Barbies had tans!
She has that tan complexion that newer dolls don't have.

Her feet are flat and larger that the flat feet of Francie.
Her feet have more of an arch are not as flat as some
sports activity Barbies.

She is a little hard to find shoes for.

I wonder if she could wear 1/6 Azone or Momoko shoes. She does have an adorable face!

Thanks for the comparison between the Fashionistas and Jazzie.

I have Kelley, Starr's friend. I agree: she's got a cute, wholesome look.

Thank you,BDE. When I first saw her, I didn't know who she was and may other viewer might not know either. When I purchase, I like info. I thought others might as well.

Alison in CA, I am not familar with Momoko. I don't have one. Maybe I will in the future. Jazzie's feet limit you to casual options. I would like to change that or change her body. But I would keep her head because of her great face.

D7ana, Thank you. I haven't seen any of the Starr dolls except Shaun. I will have to check your posts for Kelly!

Nice doll collections, very unique, anyway speaking of unique doll, I found this website http://www.ThatsMyFace.com/f/action_figure_head that can create a super-realistic doll heads of anyone from just a photo. Imagine making doll of yourself, your kids, your boss or your favorite celebrity!

Apparently they can make the heads in many scales to fit Barbie-like dolls, Tonner dolls or even smaller figurines like Polly Pocket.
